Grow Mediums Muddy's Hydro Setup

yes... or I can prob provide other better options...

Have you considered a plastic septic tank? could prob source locallly and maybe even pick up uyourself.

I have tons of tank deas... what about a kiddy swimming pool? I can go on...
:toke:

Glad youre gettin this together... I know its been chewin at ya.. :toke:

My problem is available floor space. I only have a corner to put the tank in, so it's got to be something that's no more than about 28" in diameter. Plus it has to be a design where I can install the float for the RO filter. The float shuts it off when the tank if full.

My first thought, check Tractor Supply or the Co Op. I found this....

Hadn't thought about Tractor Supply. I'll give them a look, thanks.

Thanks JM. Already checked Growers Supply, which is Farmtek. Again, the shipping is outrageous.

yeah sounds like you need to find a bulk molasses, juice, or other food product shipper and pick up a plastic barrel... they make 55 and 62 gallon to myknowledge.. :toke:

After almost 2 years of planning and work, the hydro room is finally coming together. I solved the water storage, at least for now, by going with 55 and 30 gallon drum for storage and a 30 gallon one as a top off res for the system. One of the advantages of an RDWC system is fewer res changes. Some people who are vegging and flowering using Under Currents are only changing their res when they switch their lights, and maybe once more half way through flowering. I'll only be flowering. But that remains to be seen. If that turns out to be the case I can eliminate the 30 gallon storage and save some floor space.

The lights arrived on Thursday, six FERO eight spots. I hung the last two today. They are lighting up the space nicely. I'm also liking the Orca film. It reflects the light very well without glare. I've only got a few things left to do. The ventilation fan is in but I still need to cut an intake. I need to finish a utility wiring circuit for circulation fans, a few odds and ends and that's about it. That and clean up from the construction and I'll be ready to roll. I'll probably drop my beans tomorrow, which will give me plenty of time to finish things up.

Once the grow is started I'll be running a journal in the FERO forum.
