Indoor Muddy's BOM Prize Grow

Even with the LST I'm concerned that I may still run out of room. I've only got about another 6" or so that I can raise my light. I did get it pulled down a little more yesterday so right now the plant top is at about 20". The plant itself is about 30" long at this point and it's still growing.

Thanks for doing the LST Muddy so I could get an idea of what to expect... That's the only possible way I could do one of the Hazes.

BTW, it goes without saying that the girls look great!

Too much N can delay flowering and cause other issues as well. That's one problem with LEDs is that you don't see the true leaf color when they are under the lights. I didn't notice it till I removed it from under the lights to flush it. Yes, the leaves should be a nice deep green but under natural light it became obvious right away that these were too green. The color was so dark I could immediately see it wasn't normal.

ahh you know that might be my prob too with the dark green leaves I would of thought for mine to be a bit more buddy now but I also didnt have them in good light conditions for a lil bit to polly but yea about the led hiding whats goin on..except for yellowin and spots they glow...Great grow and lovely LST'n

I can understand being worried about the plants and seeing what is wrong with them. My biggest worry with the LEDs is me. I get a lot of comfort from all the CFLs I thing it is therapy for my SADs depression. When I add LEDs later this coming year for sure I am leaving the outside ring of CFL.s and just removing the middle row. Mostly just for me if the plants like it so much the better.

I am in late on this one too! Looking great so far muddy.

I hope they don't overgrow your space too badly.

Coming up on Saturday the plants will be 9 weeks old. The BB and PR got what will probably be their last feeding yesterday. The fan leaves are starting to yellow and die off and the buds are filling nicely. Given the pH issues I've had with this grow, they are still doing okay. Certainly not the best looking plants I've ever grown with their curled leaves and burned tips but a good example of how to mistreat an auto flowering plant and still get a descent yield. But it's pointed out to me that I need to take a step back, stop experimenting so much, and get back to the basics. I expect these two should be finished in about 2 weeks, so need to get some more seeds started to take their place in my small room.

This grow has also shown how pH issues can effect one strain but not seem to bother another. The SJs are in the same soil, same feed, yet with the exception of being stunted a little, are showing none of the issues that the BB and PR have. They got what will probably be their last feed of veg nutes yesterday. Vertical growth has slowed so will probably switch to bloom nutes and lower my lights the next feeding. None too soon either as I've got the lights as high as they will go.

Yesterday marked 10 weeks on this grow. The Pakistani Ryder is finishing up and should be ready by the end of the week. It's got a big ol' fat bud on it with a nice fruity smell. In fact, it's got me wondering if that PR I got the seeds off of may have been pollinated by an Mi5. I originally grew the PR in the summer of 2009 and thinking back, I don't remember what males I had then. I was growing Mi5 at the same time and both were from reg seeds, so I'm sure I had some of both strains. I do know for certain that the seeds did come off of a PK plant, so maybe it was crossed with Mi5. I'll know better after I have a chance to smoke it. I did pollinate a branch with some Bad Betty pollen, so I might end up with something interesting. Maybe something worth working with.

The Bad Betty still needs about 2 more weeks. I started flushing the PR it's last feeding and will start the BB on it's next. It's looking good with a good sized cola and some nice side branches. I'll get some pictures up later in the week when I have a little time.

The Samaria Jacks are still going strong. Vertical growth had stopped so I switched them to bloom nutes 2 feedings ago. Well, it kicked them into another vertical growth spurt. They have grown another 3 inches in the last week. The topped one is at 26" and the LST one is about 32". The side buds have formed a pretty even canopy and most of those buds are now 16" long. They are starting to fill in some. The topped one still isn't showing a lot of pistols. I gave them a pretty heavy feeding yesterday in the hope of spurring a little bud growth. They are looking like they could go 18 weeks minimum. I just hope they stop their vertical growth. I'm almost out of room.
