Do you think you could "wash" the perlite in between grows so you wouldn't have to throw it out?

Her indoors has banned me from washing it in the bath as it goes everywhere and sticks to everything, shes forever moaning that her ass is getting scratched in the bath by the perlite

But think of the joy of kissing them scratches better....

2 caps to 5 ltrs water.

It is a strong dilution.

Give it a couple of wash throughs before you re-use it.


If you cannot wash indoor...see above...
put an inch layer of compo in pot....
pour in the perlite then rim with another inch of compo on top.
It will keep the perlite in place and help slow down the Jeyes

Your compo will be sterile too...so use as normal after a few clean water wash throughs.

easier than that... get some food grade 35% h202... use at 3% dilution ratio... wash through with that... both sterlizes and unlocks (frozen) minerals.... ive forgotten about my compo mixes a few times latley and hadnt mixed them properly and had the lid closed for too long and come back to mold all across the top... i just mix up 1.5 gallons of 3% h202 food grade and pour through my soil/perlite mix it into a bin...... works great kills the mold and everything else in about 10 mintues... and only water is left behind after the oxygen reacts and dissipates out.... this method also kills any mold spores produced by the previous mold (even bleach cant do that and leaves residues).

ps - your wife is right, that shit really irritates your skin in the shower or bath... lol... i find a good long proper rinse down gets rid of most of it...though i dont take many baths... guess i'll find out when i do next time.. lol

As we speak a nice bunch of Psiren f2s are being sow in Spain.
I also got plenty more for 2011 uk outdoor season and as soon as i am settled in the new house i will start those and many other beans

good guess Im going to repot (rebucket) some girls today and maybe put a screen in the fridge for a scrog, the sfv's are really lanky!! the wwxmi5s are all fairly short with very little space between internodes

Those are for sure heavy on the OG side. I expect them to be very lanky. I've grown haze a good few times, and the OG's put them to shame in terms of stretch. 2 to 3 x's easily. The snowryder wasn't known for tight nodes ether. Both lines did produce huge buds though, so i em hoping for nice yields, of frosty nuggets.

The sfv filled in very nicely though. Staking/training was a MUST. Like i said, i had eye-hole screws in the ceiling so i could tie them up.

You will want to select for skunky smells. The ones with skunky/lemon type smells are going to be the best ones. The fruity/berry/gum ones will be from the snowryder/white side of the cross. If your looking for potency find the skunks. If you get one that has a really sharp smell that tingles the nose when you smell her, and has a skunk essence. She will be some nice smoke.

I might just pop some right away here. I was waiting until yours' were a bit bigger to see who was coming out in the F1's. Since i see allot of OG there, i think it's time to soak some beans.

Cheers mate, thanks for the update. They're looking good man! Bottom right one, is a heavy OG one too, i can see her using cal from the leaves allready. Nute usage will also be a "tell" to what phenos are from what side. SR is a med to light flower feeders, while the OG's are massive cal/mag user and heavy on flower nutes.
