Photography Mossy's JEM - Day 31, handwatered coco, modified lucas formula

It's in bags curing actually...unfortunately. I needed to chop my grow short of her natural life span; nothing security related, I just needed to get rid of all my plants in an unplanned way, although it's all good since I'm guesstimating I'll be probably right at or just under 2oz dry, with a big ass pan of QWISO drying as we speak! She was 61 days old when she came down. The very tips of her uppers were ripe and amber, the mids and lowers are nowhere near where they should be. I would roughly guess that I left about an ounce on the table, considering how she looked coming down. I had been running my Blackstar 240w LED about 4" off her canopy, covering 1/2 of the plant for 1 day, then rotating 90* clockwise. That did a LOT for fattening the lowers up, and they are super sparkly, just no weight to them whatsoever, just absolutely fluffy larf.

I'm trying the "paper bag in a cool dark dry place" method of drying, I manicured her SUPER tight to get as much greenery off as possible. Right now it's still just that cut grass smell, hoping it starts to dissipate, this is the one thing I don't like about a "confined space" cure is that you run the risk of ending up with hay. Consider she didn't get a chance to dry out in the pot, I may have to just hang her on racks. I pulled a janky lower bud and oven dried her, and it tasted terrible (grass/chloro) but was remarkably smooth, smoother than the organic shit I grew last summer in TLO style. I may have hit on something with the hygrozyme since I've heard one side effect is a much smoother and more complete flush.

I'll get final weight up once it's ready for jars, as well as some pics.

Sad that you had to end her early. At least you got a nice harvest and some nice Qwiso on the way! :booya:

The Qwiso is great, but under ripe bud makes under ripe hash. Trimmed the duckfeet and stems last night, 40g of cleaned dry bud went into jars. Pics pending...

Used 8 grams of the super high quality trim, basically the stuff I got off the top colas doing the tight, high scrutiny manicure, to make Green Dragon Tea.

I pre-heated the oven to 325, ran all the trim and a couple little buds through my Santa Cruz Shredder to get it nice and fluffy, then threw it in a 6x6 glass baking dish once the oven was hot. I left the oven on for 2 minutes, then let it coast down without opening the door for an additional 10. So basically I let it decarboxylate between 325 and 300, measured from an in-oven thermometer I can read, cheap but crucial investment for this process to prevent burning. I then put the trim in a small Ball glass jelly jar with 4oz of Everclear (190 proof, 95% alcohol) and shook till I got bored, ripped a bong hit, then put on cartoons and shook some more until I got bored of watching cartoons high (should give you some context how long I shook it for!) I then took the lid off and put the jelly jar in a huge soup pot with 1" of water simmering in the bottom. I let that go nuts for about 15 minutes, removing to stir vigorously every 2 minutes until it was reduced by half. I screened out the big chunks with a mesh wire strainer over a bowl then pressed it through my Aerobie AeroPress coffee maker using a paper filter. What came out the bottom was crystal clear and dark green, identical to liquid Lime Jello before it sets up in the fridge. I had exactly 2 ounces of finished product that I put in a clean and sterile jar (everclear on a paper towel, used on lid and seals) and it went into the fridge to cool off.

I put .5ml in a shot glass with a touch of warm water and a tiny dab of maple syrup. I swirled it around then slammed it back. I did that at 10:30pm tonight...for reference if I start tripping out and forget to document. Right now it's starting to creep in and become a little confusing and disorienting. I'll report more tomorrow after my little experiment.
