Grow Mediums Mom's AutoCob, AutoPot, AutoMazar, MegaCrop Grow :-)

Roots give off exudates that can change PH specially when moving into full flower mode. I had Moby Dick CBD change the PH from 5.8 to 4.6 in 4 hours once!.
Yes, I am finding a lot of PH fluctuation. Even in the res. I filled it yesterday, and it is up 2 points today! I dont remember this kind of fluctuation using AN sensi grow and distilled water. Maybe I am one of the unlucky ones that experiences a lot of ph fluctuation with MC. I know that RO water can cause a lot of ph fluctuation....I was actually thinking my next grow of experimenting with just using my tap water and declorinating it, or for the hell of it trying distilled again..not sure. My poor PH pen has never seen this kind of abuse!
:crying:

I don't have any experience with RO water as my tap water is good. You might try adding 50PPMs of calmag and then aerate overnight then add nutrients and PH and see if that stabilizes it before adding to the reservoir?

I get a lot of movement in the first 24 hours sometimes. Then it settles nicely.

Some folks say when using Greenleaf Mega Crop and their Cal Mag Pro to mix it all up and adjust PH a day or so before putting in the res to let everything settle. I am just not used to all this PH checking or issues.

Hydroponics is a fairly labor intense method of growing compared to soil.

It sucks at first. Then, you start to know what to expect and you can let your guard down a bit. Next thing you know you have monsters.

Thanks guys. I guess it is just getting in the groove. It just takes getting the hang of things and finding a method to dial in. My OCD has a hard time with that!

I noticed that when I add mega crop to my RO water (6.0) it brings the PH down to 5.4. yuck. then I have to PH UP. (and if you are like me, you add PH up, add to much, and have to add ph down again, omg!)
:dizzy:

I did a test, and my tap water is 50ppm, and 7.0ph straight out of the tap. But if I let it sit out a few days (to de chlorinate) the PH goes down and stabilizes at 6.5. Adding the mega crop after sitting out a few days brings the PH to 5.9 when mixed. Perfect!

Then after this little experiment my PPM meter crapped the bed. Gona order another one on amazon.

PENS PENS PENS!! .....

I will figure out what is best to do. As long as the fluid going to my ladies is anywhere between 5.8-6.2 I will be happy.

DAY 22
HAPPY ST. PATRICKS DAY!!

Tent Temp 78
Res Fill: 3 gallons RO water, 4g Mega Crop per Gallon, 3ml CalMag per Gallon,
PH'd to +/- 6.0

Ladies don't seem to have any new spots since upping the MC and CalMag, so I think THAT situation might be under control for now. Thanks everyone!!! And big hugs to my friend with never-ending patience.... @lunarman
:bighug:

Last night I had my back turned for just a few minutes, and my cannabis addicted cat sneaked into the tent. When I went in I almost cried! Bet cat wont come near ME for a few days~you should have heard me. Yep...mom had to do emergency surgery and repair....and some leaves did have to come off.

And Today "Let the bondage begin". Oh my lord if these things survive all this god bless them. (planted upside down in root riots and growing up then down then up, transplanted 2 times, mom depriving them of a proper PH, cat munching on them, leaves being pinched off, and now bondage? God bless their little hearts.....)

That's a good idea. I use filtered water and my ph rises at the 30min mark and then again at the 60 min mark.
