Hahaha. Yeah, recipe for failure.I learned a while back not to compare myself to 912 or Hans, life is so much easier now, lol

OMG that is a whole lot of truth spoken there. Takes a lot of pressure off, that is for sure.I learned a while back not to compare myself to 912 or Hans, life is so much easier now, lol

Thank you so much I can use all the friends/help I can get!I have a very soft spot for medical growers....even more so when they are generously growing for others in need. Hit me up with a PM anytime or a tag any time you need some help(though you already have a slew of fantastic indoor growers on this thread!!)
Yes, I think this grow I am just going to let them grow and see what they look like and become without the LST and such. I totally stunted a HBSS once by LST'ing her and I guess I over did it and stunted her growth big-time. I need to learn to "grow" before I can start to mess around with trying to "perfect a grow".Very well said....remember this massmom - a healthy plant is generally a heavy one, regardless of tricks like LST, supercropping ect ect used
Oh trust me, I surf my butt off...but sometimes (ok, most of the time) I will "compare" my grow to others and wonder why my plants are not as large as theirs, etc. I have to stop that mentality and go one day at a time.Check out my journals in the Dragon Meds sections if you have some spare time...surfing folks journals can be immensely beneficial for your grow, especially when they are using similar gear to yours..
MOM, fellow Masshole here. Super stoked for you to grow meds for your daughter. The devotion you've put forth so far and all the pros in your corner, I can assure you with positivity, you will have a great harvest. With many more to come. I would like to follow along and help when I can.
The winter is tough here with the low RH from heating the house. The best thing I've done is, get a pan, pot, tupperware, whatever holds a couple liters of water. Get a bath towel. Place the pan of water in your tent, soak the towel and hang that towel over the pan of water, with a little of the towel laying in the water, to act as a wick. Blow a small fan on the towel. When it dries, flip it. Much easier than spraying the walls down constantly and much more consistent.
Good luck to you, you got this!
OH Lord, I hear that. They make it look so easy. I tried following Hans schedule down to the last detail, and killed 2 plants, LMAO.I learned a while back not to compare myself to 912 or Hans, life is so much easier now, lol

I cant help but compare, but it makes me start to go crazy and second guess my growing methods...then change them (sometimes MID GROW! God bless the seeds that get into my hands, poor things!). I cant do that anymore. I once even pulled 2 seedlings out of soil, washed them off, and tried coco. DOH. Lets just say THAT went over like a fart in church!!!OMG that is a whole lot of truth spoken there. Takes a lot of pressure off, that is for sure.
I have DDD also, but can not smoke/ingest because I am a nurse, and a school bus driver. I live in MA where it is "legal" to grow, but both my jobs randomly drug test very frequently. Go figure~You can go out and get smashed on booze all weekend and pass the "drug test" monday morning (which A LOT of my colleagues do) but you cant smoke or eat a little canna goodie or it will show up on the drug test even weeks later. Pisses me off to be honest!! I made my daughter some chocolate chip cookies with the decarbed trim from my first successful grow, an auto WW. THEY WERE AWESOME she said. This wait for a new grow is killing me, I want to help her NOW...grrrrr. Patience mom, patience.I was thinking about the growing part and now I am thinking about the medicine part. There is a lot of pain and inflammation with Crohn's. I have DDD (Degenerative Disc Disease) which involves a lot of pain mostly caused by inflammation. I won't take opioids, to many of my friends died from that shit in the 70s. The NSAIDS were poisoning my liver and kidneys. So My doctor recommended cannabis - unbelievable - I smoked a lot as a kid. Then some career choices excluded drugs for 25+ years.
So pot WOW I can grow my own meds. How cool is that! The first thing I learned is that today's cannabis is so much stronger. Dosing took a lot of experimenting. I don't smoke; so I have learned ways to make tinctures, oils and most recently rosin. .5g of decarbed rosin mixed into a 5 oz. chocolate bar divided in 40 doses works well. Eating cannabis can take 2 or more hours to get into your system; don't take more because you don't think it is working just wait. Chew a couple of black peppercorns if you get too paranoid/spacey. Using the same strain too many times in a row causes a loss of efficacy. For me a 1:1 ratio of THC/CBD works best for pain but I need to mix in sativa and indica strains that have little or no CBD to maximize the results. Most of the time I can control the pain with a minimal dose that does not get me high but sometimes I really have to go for it. Then If I really do something stupid to strain my back and I cannot wait 2 hours for relief. I hit the vape pen. I don't know if other people experience this but the first few minutes as the medicine comes rushing on it just really intensifies my awareness of my pain. It goes from 10 on a scale of ten to 20. Then all of the sudden I will go Oh that doesn't hurt now. Strange?
I guess that this long winded post is leading me to recommend you to grow some high CBD strains for your daughter. I grew Moby Dick CBD that is the foundation for my regime and will grow it or another 1:1 strain again when my supply gets low.
All my best wishes in helping your daughter manage her illness using cannabis medications.
Looking good so far, subbing up!
