Indoor Moby Dick XXL & Afghan Kush

That should be good as far as the nutrients are concerned. I do not leave my plants in darkness before harvest, I have tried it and it didn't seem to matter. That being said, I know that many do kill the lighting before harvest, and swear by the tactic. Again, this boils down to what you are comfortable with, because you are much more likely to succeed and be personnaly happy with the grow results if you are comfortable with how the grow was handled.

Like you, I was nervous as shit through the first couple grows, but familiarity breeds contempt as the saying goes or in our case familiarity breeds comfort. Finish this grow, wait 3 weeks and then smoke a "J" and reread your notes and the grow log here. Learn from where you have been and the actions you took during this grow to properly plan for the next grow. Decide what worked and change what didn't. Always keep learning and refining your approach, as humans our mind is programmed to learn from birth, and when you stop learning and thinking its probably time to go on.

You've done fine so far, and you will do better next time.

What colour should the trichs be for harvesting? Too many differing opinions online about this for me too decypher on my own?

My main problems are the nute delivery schedule. I've been way out on my first run with these despite having a half decent plant at this point. I was under feeding then over feeding. Hadn't used root juice from the get go and didn't start the TopMax at the right time. That's the first alteration I need too make. I've got some Sweet Seeds Dark Devil here just now and I've devised my own feed schedule and hopefully it will go better this time.

As far as the nutrients are concerned, I use the schedule provided by General Organics, but more as a guide than gospel. I push the nutrients by week four until I start to see leaf tip burn, then I back off on the nutes a little and keep em running.. As the plant progresses into flowering and begins throwing pistils I will begin adding bud enhancer with the grow nutes, gradually increasing the enhancer and watching the plants vertical growth. As vertical growth slows, I start transitioning to bloom nutes and once she stops growing I push the bloom nutrients at the same levels as the grow nutes. But that's me.

As far as what looks like small pots in my larger pots, they are actually just homemade funnels.I germinate all my seeds in small rockwool cubes. Once the little plant pops out I will transplant the seedling into its forever pot. I cut the bottoms off of any plastic containers I have laying around and stick it into the dirt around my seedling. For the first 3 weeks I only water into the funnel, which forces all the water straight down in the pot. My reasoning for this is to provide a vertical moisture zone for the plants tap root to develop in, so that once the plant starts to bush out it has the necessary root structure for growth. I could remove the funnels once I start full pot watering, but typically just don't bother. Does that answer help?

Top stuff tag, much appreciated. That's written in terms that I can understand better rather than just nute levels matched too day/week number. I bought smaller pots too do as you do for early feeding so I'll try that with the dark devil on the next run
