Indoor Moby Dick XXL & Afghan Kush

@Glasgow Stoner78 hey dude looking good in there, was it cheese xxl that gave you problems. Ive got a couple on day 50 now and find them very heavy feeders.

If you think your plants need more nitrogen you would add more grow nutrients as they have a higher ratio of N (nitrogen) to P(phosphorus) and K(potassium) thats what the npk on the bottles is all about. And why there are grow and bloom nutrients. Sorry if you already knew this dude

Hey Sanguine,,it was the Moby Dick XXL that was giving me problems but I have them a put water flush and they have sorted themselves out now. I'm delighted with how the Afghan Kush is going now for my first attempt,she's starting too swell and frost nicely. I'll post new pics of the XXL ladies in the morning

aye that's right, glad they came good man. looking forward to it

@sanguine

Do I feed them up until bloom or is there a point at which you start water only before harvest? Reading conflicting opinions in this elsewhere

@Glasgow Stoner78 I give plain water for the last 10 days before i cut them down. This helps to flush out any nutrients in the plants system and give it a more natural taste. Also lets the plant use up the nutrients stored in the leaves. Thats why they go yellow.
Some people argue that when using organic nutes like biobizz a long flush isnt necessary but ive always went a week to 10 days plain water

You know, I just posted a thread on the topic of leaf function in Frankenstein's lab. It will dispel the misconceptions on how a leaf is structured and functions. Actually, a leaf can absorb light from any direction. The lower part of the leaf also contains chloroplasts, although fewer than the upper portion. The bottom of the leaf is no more "tender" than the upper surface, as both sides have a cuticle.

Here is a link to that information:

Do not get any light aiming upwards. You can very easily burn the bottoms of the leaf. That is also not doing anything if it is putting light underneath. Photosynthesis only happens on the top of leaves. Keep those lights up top. You are giving the right amount of light to see those genetics come to full potential.
