Experiments with DWC

Well I was looking at my indoor plants and the Flower Bomb Kush is looking better. Bur the C99xFire cross was just plain stunted, I mean tiny! Like MAYBE 3" tall. So I figured what the hell, its already a loss can't hurt it any worse than it is, SO........ I took it into the bathroom and set it in the bathtub, I dug around the plant as deep as I could. I then pull it up with a large handful of dirt and laid it on its side in the pot. I carefully loosened the soil getting as much as I could off the roots by hand. I then ran the roots under the faucet and washed them clean!

I then transplanted it into a DWC bucket. Si this will be a multi-faze experiment. One, will it survive? Second, I'm not going to run an airstone in the bucket, going for more of a Kratky method. Third, to prevent root rot ( hopefully ). I will change the bucket every other day. And Forth, this is only a 2.5 gallon bucket!

Update:

Well I dumped the pot that the C99 x Fire was in and It looked to me that I didn't mix the soil well enough. there were small clumps of the manure in there, I suspect that's what burned the plants, Its the exact same mix that's in my outdoor grow bags, and they are all fine, no burn. So I spread the soil around on a tarp and added about 30% of some bagged Organic potting mix from the greenhouse where I'm buying my supplies. I'm going to transplant one of the White Urkle x Jems that are growing into the pot and see what happens.

Also, The C99 x Fire I uprooted and transferred to DWC is still alive and looks no worse than it did lol!

UPDATE: The flowerbomb kush is taking off again. The C99 x Fire that I took out of the dirt and put into a DWC bucket is regaining some green color, so it looks like the transfer was a success! I transplanted the 2 White Urkle x Jem crosses from their solo cups into pots a couple days ago and they look to be doing fine also. I amended my soil mix with a bag of organic potting soil and some lime. Seems to have done the tirck, as I have some jalapeno transplants in it and they are already starting to grow after only 3 days.

always curious, I decided to try placing a clone of the KC White, directly into a solo cup fill with soil. I gave it plenty of water. Its been about 9 days and its color is very good now, and it looks to have grown slightly, so... success!

Things are looking much better!

Update:

My plants are looking good overall now. For a while I was ashamed to even post a pic! Gees...lol but I got some good looking girls now! the are now 3 C99 x Fire. 2 in pots that are looking very healthy, and the poor stunted little one I ripped outta the dirt and put into DWC. and..... Surprize! she's not only survived, she's growing. I saw roots coming out of the bottom of the net pot finally. I'll send the C99 and the Northern Lights in pots to the greenhouse for a week or two as I'm going to flip the lights for the flowerbomb next week.

Update:
Well, about maybe 12-14 days ago I soaked a Think Different x ( Russian Dragon? ) it took almost 5 days to sprout and its barely grown, think I got a runt. I mean this thing has its first set of true leaves, yet its no bigger than my thumbnail! I dropped 2 more seeds in rockwool cubes this time, the runt may get sent to the great outdoors lol! I got a nice spot not far from home for it. But, I gotta get one going in DWC! If both look good, they are going into my mini DWC buckets.

Taggin' along here. Glad they're on the bounceback man!
