Day 5

DG and HBSS seem to like it. Heisenberg still haven't shown so probably won't make it by now. I'l give it a few more days.

Did the beans have a taproot before planting or did you directly plant them into the medium? If so, you might be able to get away with putting the Heisenberg in a plug and under a dome where you can keep the temperature higher so it sprouts.

Yeah all of them had a taproot. Put a cup over it now, so we'll just have to wait and see..

If it doesn't show it might not be terrible because I have seen some HBSS getting real big [emoji4]

Ok, sounds like a plan. From the journals I’ve seen they do seem to get pretty big. I have no experience with them - yet.

It’s cold and dry in there. Have you got any way other than the light to increase the temperature? A small fin heater would work, if it fits. The humidity is really low because the plants haven’t been watered. Once you start giving them a splash the humidity will increase. You can put a bucket of water in there if you want to.

Yeah my setup is in my shed, so have an electric heater running at max. Temps were hitting 30's so had to turn on the filter.

I could try getting a bucket with water in there. Maybe a towel hanging from the ceiling with the bottom in the bucket. Seen some good results using that method. Cheers [emoji106]

Looking good so far. I've used the towel wick method and it works okay. Getting that temp up in there is a good idea.
