New Grower Mephisto, Autocobs, Airpots, Oh My!

Plants look lush and green. Good luck @R_HIDIA , your on the final third of the journey, may you have smooth sailing from here on out.
Thanks Seymour, that’s what I’m hoping for. I’ve come to terms with the fact they probably won’t grow any further vertically and I’m ok with that. I’m just going to focus on getting everything out of them that I can. Fingers crossed for the rest of this journey to go smoothly and reward me with some top quality buds!

Ok so I just pulled them out of the tent to do some further work on them. Did some further defoliation and opened up any branches that I possibly could. I’m honestly thinking this can’t finish fast enough for me right now. I’d just like to start my next grow and avoid some of the early mistakes I made and perhaps try some larger strains. I’m going to assume I have about 40 days left as a perfect run on sour cracks seem to be in the low 60 day range- I think a few have managed 56 days so time will tell I guess....

Day 44
Ok so after some defoliation things seem to be stable and steady. Again I’m pretty certain that there won’t be any more vertical growth. So the tallest one is about 15.5 inches and the other 2 are just about equal at around 10.5 inches.

Also, just tried something... my two shorter plants have unbelievably tight node spacing and no amount of leaf tucking will help and I’m not wanting to remove much of the upper growth right now so I’ll let the picture explain. Basically I put my two shorter plants side by side with one autocob over them then I lowered and angled my free autocob to hit both plants from the side. I’m thinking this just might make a big difference in bud development. Thoughts or comments welcome!

Excellent! Will help for sure. I tried it and liked it too. As long as you are not anal about grams per watt or similar metrics. Cos i have a feeling it will not dramatically increase yield. But the growth will be noticeable. At least in my case.

Need to note that my side lights are blurple lights. Also, I've since taken them off after using them a few weeks in flower. I already had 6 x 60++watts of 3500k cobs on top of them. I then added another 2 x 50++Watts blurple on them. Thats a total of 8 cobs on 5 plants. The plants might be big but I'm starting to feel its a little overkill. One of the plants showed a little stress and that was enough for me to call it a day. But i stress that I do like the extra growth I see. If your temps and humidity is not crazy high like mine, should work beautifully even with more lights.

Well I plan on leaving it like that for a few days and evaluate the situation. Back to one plant one autocob above or do I leave that setup for the remainder of the grow and perhaps just rotate the plants through positions...?

I say go ahead and try it! Just monitor every day and if you see anything not right, just change them back.

I personally think its a great idea. And its still 2 cobs for 2 plants at the end of day. So i dont expect any light or heat stress. More lights to bud sites equals bigger buds. Period. So i don't see why not?
