Hello is this thing on
What’s in the pots?
I was three pages behind in this thread and just caught up. I’m just going to jump back three pages and offer my opinion about the dissolving.
I might be the only one doing this but it works just fine for me. I literally dump MC V1 directly into my 8 gallon bubble bucket by the tsp. I don’t pre dissolve or check the ppm. I don’t make sure it’s totally dissolved, I’d never know. I don’t ever change the water in my buckets for a typical 12 week grow. My plants always look perfect.
I’m new and never knew any better or worse and MC has been fantastic for me. I think MC is the easiest to use if and when you don’t worry about any of the crazy schedules that litter the internet. Because it was designed to include everything I just always trusted that and didn’t worry. I watch one variable that I know I trust the most. The plant and it’s most visible nutrient tattle tale. The nitrogen. If you go light with Mega crop it’s so easy to watch your plant and keep her hungry and looking for food. Find those perfect green hues that tell you she’s right in the sweet spot for each stage and listen. And don’t be tempted by the biggest urge of all. Don’t overfeed.
Thank you @Greenleaf Nutrients for making it so easy.
Hey FB, it's a local grow shop brew, the bag says in this order: Peat, Perlite, Bark, Coir, Roots 777, Lime, & Wetting agent. Tried to find out what the roots 777 is, lol, he said same as what's in that bag there, which was bag of real, roots 707. I've had pretty good luck with it so far starting with 1g/gal. to start, just wondering what others are doing. What’s in the pots?

Hi, please give more information on what type of pots you are using, and all relevant details!I'd like to ask the Mc community for your imput on something, do you pre-charge fresh pots with MC before dropping beans and if so how much? I'd appreciate it.
Well Woody, here it is. I grew organic first couple a grows in KIS amended soil per their recipe, went well but decided to try something different. Asked about local brew at our grow store and guy behind counter said it's very popular so I decided to ask questions. Almost sounded soiless to me so asked what ph should be ran into pot for best performance,.....I get a deer in he headlight look from him. Staredown takes place for a second and then he says it's already ph'd so don't worry about it. I had read the bag and saw there was lime added, still didn't seem like a soil. I say, so it's been buffered but, like pro-mix, I hear likes maybe upper5's for input, coco less....what about this, (he says) I don't know I run DWC (I say) have you heard what your customers do? He says no, but don't worry it's already been ph'd (me Lol)..I say so it's a soil and should try and buffer itself to 6.8-7.0...another deer in the headlight look. Lol. I don't see where it would be considered a soil and what is roots 777 that's on the bag? He says it's that bag over there. I say, that's roots 707...so this is a typo, your bag is supposed to say 707, and that's been added to it? Yeah. Lol I bought a bag, went home and added a couple a big handfulls of EWC and a little more perlite and treated it like soil. In fact it acted like soil, probably from the EWC....I think? Total nube here. It indeed seemed like it would buffer up to 6.8-6.9 given time.@stedimed hey dude i take it your talking about coco or a similar soiless medium as thats the only time you need to precharge your pots.
Or is it a depleted soil thats been used before?
Anyway im starting my first run with megacrop and coco and plan to just give them good watering after transplanting with about 150-200ppm no counting tap water ppm for a first feed.
Let me know how you get on dude

This time, no EWC's gonna be added. I added some RO to a small batch waited 24hrs., probe check says 6.5-6.6. lol So I'm kinda in a quandary right now. Gonna run MC in it, but not sure where to start, add a little Ca/Mg to RO and ph to say.....6.5, wet the pot, then when I put sprout in kinda wet local area with MC@ 1g/gal. ph'd to....? Maybe wet whole put with MC ph'd to 6.5 or ??. @Mizzo81 I think said once he ran cocoloco between 6.2-6.5 and all was good. So I'm kinda scratchin my head at the moment. Whew...sorry for run on.
