MEGA CROP 2.0 750g free sample promo

I use it very low PPM in bubbleponics and NEVER change my buckets. So it could grow four beasts that way for sure. Both ends of the spectrum.
Week one through two 1 tsp into 6 gallons
Week three add another tsp
Week 4-5 depending on growth top up and add one more tsp. So pretty much three tsp and they have shown sex and preflowers.
Week five to six add two tsp and then continue to add 2 tsp for every two gallons of water added to bucket, or add 2 tsp per gallon every second fill. Watch your N tic and go plain water for a top off or two.

Then again I’m a cowboy so use at your own risk.

I'm not sure about this. I run an ebb and flow where I have typically refresh my reservoir once a week. 20gal tank at 4gram per gallon = 80grams of MC per week. I was buying a new bag by week 4 so it highly depends on how your growing mates.
Thank you for that information.. :pass:
I am going to do my first 5-gallon-bucket DWC run. So I would be using 1/4th of your dosing.. so I guestimate I will manage.. :cool1:

MC works so good for DWC

PH stable

1 part

Easy to mix

Doesn’t take a ton or anything.

I ran my 3gal DWC starter buckets at 1/4tsp per gallon. And that was on the heavy side I felt like.

Now their all in 5 or 6 gallon buckets because my root masses got SO big I was forced to upgrade the buckets lol

Excellent problem to have

I have the same problem but I’m already in five gallon buckets now. I do have a 16 gallon DWC setup that I can move the biggest one to, but the others will have to maintain in the fives. They are only in the first week of flower. Problems to have indeed. LOL

8 gallon buckets have worked out really well for me. In veg I can run 5 gallons right up to the bottom of my 8” net pot. Plenty of air and water, I almost make it to week 5 if I let it get 2-3 inches below pot. During flower I fill it up almost past to the top of the net pot. So maybe 6/7 gallons removing the root mass. I mention this because it sounds crazy when say that I never change the water. I think the extra volume of water I run really helps me keep things stable. If you run in 3-5 gallons you really have to take into account how much volatility comes from the lack of buffering in smaller volumes. You may only have 2 gallons in you five gallon depending on the net pot you use or you root mass. In full flower if I fill to the top of my net pot I can get 4 days before they drink the gallon a day down to 2 inches below, and I’ve still got 3 gallons left. I’ve thought about the 13 gallons but that might be to much. Just sharing something to consider that might help folks achieve greater stability of PH/ nutrients. If growing smaller strains or light drinkers 5 gallons is perfect but a lot of these plants are getting huge in DWC with MC.
Bigger buckets means less adjustments which should equal less possibilities for mistakes.
Curious to hear from guys that grow in the 27 gallon totes their thought on stability of the water with that volume.

It’s a trade off :/

Bigger the volume of water, the more stable everything is, PH, temp, all that. Gives you a much larger window to correct issues

The opposite would be extra large areas of water... may need to me heated or cooled... which can cost $$$$ big bucks. They also require MORE nutrients to achieve the same level of concentration.. which cost more $$$ too

See what I mean lol

I say 5-8 gal is the sweet spot. I’d lean more towards 8gal

That sounds great, slightly worried about the "forced to upgrade" part.

Wan't even planning to grow anything tiny. Maybe I should look for a quick autoflower..

I am just gonna go ahead and trial with my 5 gallon bucket.. see where I get.

What do you use for an 8 gallon bucket?

I use an 8 gallon square bucket that I get from my hydro store, they charge $17, and I get the Current culture lids from a separate hydro store that sells the CC stuff. Every price I see online for the CC white lids with the 8” net pot is over $20 but this store gives them to me for $18. I can get the picture of the bucket. They are identical to the CC buckets but have none of the holes and are half the price. I figured for the bucket, lid, net pot and Danner AP4 with 4” stones that each rig costs me around $75-90 bucks. But it’s been fool proof for me.

Pictures of bucket soon.

I use well water that’s 300 ppm and 5.0 ph out the well. I then run it through s whole house sediment and then a corosex medium ( ph up) and then another charcoal filter in the grow room. I end up with 7.5 ph but back at 300 ppm. I might be having the luck I have with the water because the added CA is a fantastic buffer, maybe.

I was originally in love with RDWC but thankfully I joined this site and realized the differing needs and then went to bubble buckets.
