I think that's were I went wrong I topped up the pebbles over the domes lesson learned cheers for the heads up.

Based solely on examining the roots of 1 plant that was harvested, about 90% of the root mass was down in the Hydroton. I had only filled the Hydroton to leave the top of the AirDome exposed, in contact with the coco/perlite. The Hydroton was just chock full of nice white roots.

So with roots apparently seeking out the Hydroton, you may even do better (with the plants of interest) than having the recommended lower Hydroton level. We'll see.

[Still on my 1st grow using 4, my plants have and are doing better overall than with Air-Pots. Despite the harvested FastBuds LSD-25 plant not growing above 12-14 inches (light might have been too intense), with about 25 branches/top-visible buds (from LST), it yielded over 90 grams of deep purple, nearly black, prime buds (now drying), and preliminarily seemed very potent. And I've got a Wild Thailand Ryder/World of Seeds that similarly did not grow above 12-14" but already looks to yield over 100 grams, with weeks to go. So AutoPots are doing the job well for me so far. I've got 2 more waiting at a local hydro shop for me to pick up].

Maybe, AutoPots (or AutoPot users) should have their our own thread. There is a lot of good but scattered discussion going on about them.
