Well done meef. Maybe I'm just lazy but it works awesome. And takes all of 30 seconds.. I just bend the pipe cleaner that contacts the branch in a v and leave space for the branch to get fat. Once those girls get a little taller drag em back down to the earth and spread her open revealing more of the inner canopy. I wouldn't do any more training then that .
I'd consider making more direct use of your lights and placing two directly over ophelia. Or you can try angling so there's some side penetration as well. Just a thought.

I don't defoliate ever. So you might be right. Look at the leaves as solar panels. I might tuck occasionally to reveal a bud site. But the plant didn't grow that leaf so I could cut it off. I will sometimes pull off the nodes that are premature and not getting sunlight (usually they are deep into the bush) Directing more energy into the main buds. If the plant needs nutrients stored in lower fan leaves it can easily move them up to bud sites as IT decides to. By removing the leaf it seems a significant waste of energy and the plants ability to capture and use energy. Just how I look at it though. Lets watch and see what happens with Charlotte. Maybe try and spread her open some as well let her take in more energy from the leaves she has left?
Come take a puff on some oil from the Auto Ultimate =)
