Day 40 “This is going to be a minute…”

Another day in the ManCave, all the ladies are doing their thing.
There was some added drama as I needed to supercrop Iris, who was just getting too tall, but her stems were already formed well where I needed to do it, I had to split the stems and break material with my fingers and then use a training clip and a little scotch tape to insure it stays in place. It was a big risk, but she was just getting too big. I couldn’t lift up the lights anymore.
Here’s what she looks like…

Iris needed to be knocked down. She’s just into Preflower barely and will still grow. She’s nearly 3 1/2’ right now. Remember this was the plant we almost lost!

Next up is the left side of the tent, or the older ladies, is what we’ve been calling them.

You can see Sugar the SB Cheesecake is starting to add a little weight to her buds. Very early yet!

The younger side, despite all its problems and stress is trying to recover. I have three plants that got so stressed, they started putting out three leafs that barely open up. I have had this happen before. Sometimes the plants produce ok, sometimes they don’t do crap. We shall see!

A more full shot of the older ladies. That’s Lila, the Sour Stomper x Double Grape up on front left. She is one of the stressed plants with tri-leaves.

The younger side is trying to come back. I have high hopes for the seedlings that are in like day 10 or so. Magda, the Double Grape and Mave, the Gumberry are looking good and should get a life minus any stress from lights, like the others.
At least I finally got that part figured. Feeling like a dumbass messing this grow up, but understanding that life and growing weed aren’t always exactly as we expect. I am in a new environment and I needed a grow to adjust.
Ok, ok…stop it. I know.

Moving on.

Aurora looking fine with her sweet self. So full and majestic.I like growing plants her size and shape. She will be a good little plant in the end.

Charlotte, the Runtz strain is a cool looking girl too. Three or four different color greens, and nearly perfect open structure with linger node lengths. Again, a plant size and structure I like to grow. I don’t try to grow those huge monster plants anymore…too much work really. For me, manageable plants in the 2 1/2’ tall, around 8-10 big colas trained to get priority canopy level light, frosty and full of flavor due to my organic style of growing, those make me happy

I will keep you all updated as to how things progress, and we’ll see if Iris can make a full recovery from her supercropping event this morning. It will take her around 10 days to completely heal that break I just put in her. We shall see supercropping doesn’t always work.

Day 41 “Finding the groove…”

The room has finally found it’s rhythm. Only small adjustments being made for controlling light level at canopy.
All look happy. Here’s a look.

Lots of different genetics here, and it’s pretty evident.

Iris has completely recovered from her supercropping. At least those mains were slowed down and pushed back away from light a bit.

side view of the room. I will be enlarging the space and redoing the configuration as well as adding another Viparspectra XS2000. Get me to 780 actual Watts and around 5’x6’ space. It’s about 4’x5’ right now.Can’t wait. I will grow only max 8 plants too. More space

I will give an update in the middle of the week. No sense right now. Not too much happening.

Day 42 “Casualties are a part of war…”

Well, I hate to predict bad things, but the other day I was mentioning to the GF that nearly every grow, I am reaching across the room or something and accidentally break a branch or something.
This morning I reached over to water Charlotte and broke a small bud off of Sugar. Almost clear through, like 95%
I taped it back on and we shall see. I don’t know if she can make it. Probably not…

Let’s hope, these things are resilient and that might be a couple gram bud! Prime location on plant.

The rest of the plant is definitely stacking her buds now. The next four weeks should be fun to watch her dankify into greatness!

She’s working under the canopy nicely.
The room itself is growing big time. Both Charlotte and Iris continue to grow into the light canopy, close to the danger zone again.

Aurora, the Northern Lights and her main, just showing the flower now…

Same here with Liv, the Livers Bx1. Just starting to show her flower. The stretch to come!

They will all be smaller anyway. Just hoping for some dank bud.

Brûlée has a nice main. I did some training on her to open her up.

Just pulled her open and a couple big fan leaves removed.

Looks like a different plant though.

Going to be some big fat indica nugs on this girl.

Nice shot of the main on Goldie, the 3BOG x Mango Smile. Should be colorful buds on her.

Lila, one of the major lights chocked girls is doing her best to recover. Frost starting to come in and she smells like peppermint.

Charlotte and the Runtz buds are in major stretch mode. They will start packing on weight this week I believe.

Day 45 “One to go…”

Well, 45 days in and things look pretty good all things considered.
One small issue, Iris hasn’t gone into flower yet and continues to grow. I’m a little worried. We all know this happens from time to time when a plant gets too stressed. Let’s hope she turns soon.
The rest look great.

The small Gumberry isn’t that happy today. We shall see how she progresses. Should be fine.

Brûlée just cranking away. I could probably stick her closer to the light. Hearty, short, and healthy little plant. Just getting her flowers.

Aurora, the plant in center looks great. Final flower about to pop.

I did add the Inkbird system to keep things under control in the room when I am away.

All those things plugged into the one chord are just fans. The humidifier and dehumidifier and hooked up. My temps are not an issue as I am inside in temp controlled basement.

It’s starting to get interesting folks!

Day 49 “Pair-a-dime shifts…”

Iris still not flowering, I needed to make a move. I came up with a solution using some cheap supplemental grow lights for now. I am ordering some supplemental UV and Far Red lights for late flower in a couple weeks.
Here is what the room looks like now…

Both Iris (in front) and her sister Violet are outside the grow area in what I am now calling “Cannabis Purgatory” or the CP for short.
They both still get pretty good light from the two Mars 1000s.

The main on Sugar is growing up more, the out part will come.

Goldie has a nice little flower on her now. Not much trich action though just yet…

Liv, finally putting out a decent flower. She has a completely new spot in the room under a new light, hoping she takes off with more room!

Love the setup and happy all those plants share it equally, i was concerned 1-2 would want to bush and overtake them all but it seems to be working out great! Nice frost building up too!

Thanks Zer0! I was chasing a lot of issues as you know and ended up with too many plants. The good news is that stunting them worked out this time. I really wanted 6-8 plants max, but it got a little out of hand.
Looks like I saved it. The grow is back on pace now. We will see how much light they will let me give them. I am only at like 100W per light right now. My DLI numbers are good, so I should be good the rest of the way.

The fun part is coming

Day 50 “Always work to be done…”

It seems I reached that time in my room when I have most everything dialed in, and I still can find work to fine tune things and general maintenance.

Topped the little one, Mave. She’s the last Gumberry to go down. A little LST on Liv and general trim, feed, etc.

Iris, outside the room seems to be fine with her supplemental lights giving her enough energy. Looks good actually. Waiting on her to flip. Might have to push it by tossing her in the dark…

Good shot here of the supercropping we did on Iris. There were two sites.

Sugar coming along. She smells real nice. A little sweet berry, melon, funk…

Liv got a little work done more opened up now.
