Hi folks, I decided to join this forum as when doing my research into the art of growing I got a wealth of info thats been very influential to my grow, so thought I'd take this opportunity to thank all u experienced and inexperienced growers alike for the knowledge u's provide!

Enough of the soppy shite n down to business ;-)

I'm currently growing 5x maxi gom fems & 1x samsara seeds supersonic cristal storm (fem) which I got free from the attitude seed bank. (1st grow so thought I'd trial and error with autos)

My setup:

400w HPS grow lamp
1.2x1.2x2.0 grow tent
RVK 100mm Extractor fan and carbon filter
Oscillating fan

The medium:
Canna cocco plus

Nutes:
Canna A&B
Rhizotonic
Cannazyme
PK 13/14
Flush
(just starting with grow chart)

Right, the situation is i germinated the seeds on 06/10/11 and potted them straight into 10 litre pots on 09/10/11 as this is what everyone seems to recommend with autos as to minimise stress in there short lifes with transplanting! The first few days were brilliant, fast healthy growth, no stretching and they seemed very happy. I know it's only 9 days in but the progress seems to have slowed right down? The temps are not ideal but consistent at 80-85 degrees F, watered every 2-3 days! I'm thinking tht because I've went straight to 10 litre pots tht the plants are possibly concentrating more of there energy developing a good root system and when thts done with hopefully they'll shoot up, but If anyone has any other ideas or experience with this strain if u could let me know tht would be ideal.

have you checked your soil ph,or the ph of the water
that you water them with?

Hey roadsidevendor1 a PH meter is next on my purchase list come payday but live in a small town in Scotland so our water is pretty decent, but did consider this!

Thai Buddha man yeah only giving them 200-300ml fed them on Sunday n gave them another feed this morning, gonna leave them now till atleast Saturday let them dry out a bit! Just found it strange tht the 1st few days were explosive and now nothing, especially when seeing the progress of other autos out there! Just gotta keep the fingers crossed and hope for the best!

Cheers for ur input lads!

Could just be developing roots. What strength are you feeding at? With them being just a bit over a week old you really need to be careful with the feeding. I usually don't start feeding until around 2 weeks in, and at 1/4 strength. My full strength feed is usually at half strength of what's recommended.

Im feeding them at about 3 1/4s of what the chart is recommending! im just useing the chart as trial and error trying to get things right first time round! if i notice a drastic decline then ill flush then carry on with just water for a week or 2.

worst of it is as of tomorrow im working away for a fortnight so my misses is in charge and as far as shes concerned there like her arch rivals as she says i spend more time with them than her!:D

heres a few pics of the ladys:

They look alittle to young for ANY kind of nutes, if it was me i would be giving them only PH balanced pure water

I've had/seen mixed reviews on nutes with seedlings so decided I'd try them out at slightly lower than the recommended dose! Would it make any difference to go back to plain old H2O?

if theres nutes in the mix/compost i would not feed if its soiless/coco you should feed a light dose every watering as the plants would starve the same as rockwool and these can not be treated the same as compost as its hydroponics

Yeah it's coco m8, the plants are looking healthy with the feeds, conditions,TLC etc it's just they've seemed to stop growing! Hopefully they're concentrating on there roots and once they've established tht system they'll burst out my grow tent!

I think you may be right. watch for signs of starvation hitting the right strength feeds at this point is quite hard and very easy to over feed also coir drys quicker than soil so your on the right track but you do have to feed at each water if i was you i would not take advice from anyone who has not done soiless as the normal advice does not apply and theres no base fert in the medium like in compost and even cutting compost still has base nutrients in it. so you have to feed a nutrient ratio thats mimic's the same strength as seedling compost then increase strengthy as the plant grows.

At a guess you should be around 0.8-1.0 ec not including base ec then upped to around 1.0-1.3 but go easy with it
