Marshydro SP250 or TSL2000

I tend to agree 2 may be overkill but I tend to be one of those "more is better" guys. I think my current set up in that area with 5 plants (2 400w hid and a bestva1000) is probably more than needed but the girls seem so happy under them and I have them so..... It would make sense though to save that second $200 if it won't make that much of a difference.

The sp250 wattage can be adjusted. The IR and UV are a nice concept but not sure the claims are correct. The other features such as the water resistance, better driver, and penetration were what steered me toward the sp250. There are a few PAR tests on you tube that show good numbers also. BUT I still like the fact the TS puts out more wattage. My sp250's use 230 watts at the outlet. 460 watts for a 4x4 tent. Some say it's not enough light to get the full potential of a 4x4 tent..

I'm thinking of the tsw2000 at this point as it would more than cover my area AND the added benefit of possibly setting up my grow with one half finishing while I'm starting the other half, it wouldn't work with the sp250 and I may want that option later.
I realize it's been a long holiday but I was hoping to hear from @MarshydroTina before the sale ends but I guess not. I also sent messages through their website but perhaps I didn't do that correctly.

Thank you everyone for your help.

I went ahead and pulled the trigger on 2 TSW2000's before the sale ended. Sadly I won't be using them until summer as I need the added heat from my HID's.

Are the TSWs dimmable?

Man,that 3x5 is gonna be flood with light!!!
Too bad you have to wait for summer.
I could store them for you...:smoking:

My understanding is that it is dimmable but I'm not sure why that matters. I know it's an often asked question and an option people like but couldn't you just hang it higher or is that why people are concerned, because they don't have the height for that?

I didn't expect such fast shipping but they're supposed to be here tomorrow. I figured especially with it being a black Friday weekend and all it would be delayed. Kudos to Marshydro!!

I have noticed Marshydro people recommend the SP250 more than the TS. I have a SP250 and a new TS 3000 on the way, so I can kind of compare. They are going to recommended size tents each, a 4x2 and a 4x4. I'm guessing they will be close enough to not matter.
