"You'll shoot your eye out!"

If you're lucky it will bleach out your plant. I understand different heights of your girls. I've made stands to elevate my shorter girls.
It's your grow, but too close will eventually bite you in the butt.
Being too close will give poor coverage towards the edges of your tent also/
You're right of course, I am following yours' and Mars's recommendations and raised my lamp to 18in above my ideal plant canopy - to not follow advice from people who make and use this kit would be nuts. Thank you for the advice - I really could have damaged my plants without it.

18 is a bit close unless ya have co2.
This is the PAR map at 19.5in. You better have your VPD spot on with proper feeding and really good watering. Things can get outta hand quickly, especially the smaller the pot. I had mine running at 19-20 in when one girl went on her spurt and she got stressed pretty dang quick. This is a pretty dang intense light.

Just letting ya know what I've seen on my grow. It may not hurt your girls, but now ya know that ya may wanna keep a close eye at that level.

Good day, growers, we know that light penetration is extremely important for high and dense plants growing. Which one light do you think is penetration is deepest?

For sure, SP 6500 light, 650w, with 2,376 pcs Samsung 301b and Osram 660nm deep red diodes on a single bar, full-spectrum with IR and IV, the strongest light intensity and high penetration to pass light deep enough through the whole plant, reducing shadow on plants, help you get quality and delicious foods. Enjoy the bumper harvest with mars hydro SP6500 led grow light!

SP 6500 giveaway is going on, check www.mars-hydro.com.

I have the Ts1000 and the info suggests approx 700 micro moles in the centre of a 2ft square, and 400 round the sides (@18in). I have a 2 1/2 ft square tent and my babies on the outside are doing fine. Here's a pic when I put my light in at 16in - but look what I've had to do to get 18in (ideal), the FB Zkittlez has gone mental and is clearly enjoying being very close to the lamp, the SS Purple Amnesia is still developing nicely at 18in away and my baby LSD is doing nice at 18in but in a corner.
It seems I can put any plant at any stage anywhere under this light. I'm staying at 18in as it seems it has no problems delivering the light to plants of different stages - perpetual auto grow with 20day planting interval. I love this light instead of getting bigger lamps for larger spaces I may use a Ts1000 for every 2foot square.
