Hi Tina. Do you test all your lights before they are shipped or a sample size ? In the pic above , are you doing a burn in test ? If so how long and what temps ? Does Mars follow IPC/ISO standards ? What classification does Mars build their lights too ?

I purchased one of your cobs last month, and It didn't seem like there was any inspection done prior to shipping. The lens cover had scratches and a screw was just sitting in the bottom of the dome. I tried putting the screw back in the hole but it would not line up properly.

I'm not trying to interrogate. Mars seems like a fast growing company and I am just trying to judge where you are at in terms of QC and if I would do further purchases.

Thx.

Hi Mesa,
All our lights are ETL listed for US and Canada market, and CE, Rohs approved for EU market. All the components are higher standard quality and safe to use. Strict Quality control at least 3 times before releasing for each shipment, defective rate are controlled within 0.5%.
Because the assembly process is manual, there will be some omissions, but the probability is very small. I'm sorry to hear that you received a defective lamp. Our official website accepts seven days'refund. If you have any problems with the lamp you received, we can send you a new lamp.

Hi Tina, It's great that you are ROHS complaint ect, but that just means you don't use leaded solder and you meet the environmental/safety standard. What sort of quality control practices does your company implement ? Looking at your assembly line I don't see any sort of ESD control. I don't see any sort of magnification for inspection or LEAN practices for that matter. I'm guessing by your response there is no burn in, or anyone that can inspect your product with any sort of training or certifications. How can you claim 0.5 % failure rate because of "manual assembly" ? That just blows my mind. I think these are pretty strait forward and simple questions any electronic manufacturing company should be able to answer. Are your parts ethically sourced ? I have reviewed pictures in this forum on AFN of mars PCB. Even from the pictures I can see multiple spots of laminate damage, cold solder, fractured solder ect. Coupled with no ESD implementation it's just a time bomb for your customers. From what I see, it looks like your products just have to function long enough to make it out the door. 0.5% Are you really sure ?

When I initially asked these questions I was hoping that a new growing company would reply "we are working towards that" Not hit me with a BS 0.5% !!!!!
