Hi @Greensleeves Usually we recommend hanging distance from canopy:
germination 24-30inches above the plants
veg:18-24 inches above the plants
flower:12-18 inches above the plants
you need to adjust it to a better distance according to your plants react.

Thanks for that. I had it at about 18 on the first day I have it at about 14-15 inches atm, I've been checking every couple of hours but things look good so far, i was worried the jump from the mars 48 reflector to this might stress it out with the big jump in light. I must admit the ratchet hangers make me a little nervous, it says they are good for 150lbs so here's hoping lol

Oh 150ibs for the ratchet hangers maybe not safe, for security reasons, you better to add another hangers.
