Indoor Mars Hydro grow journal: WildBill does Hubbabubbasmelloscope in EarthBoxes under MarsHydro SP3000

Just some pics from last night.
Only real remarkable thing is the change in Kong with her purpling fade. I'll check her trichomes tonight when I water her.

The big HBSS rez is dry this morning. The little one still has water I have a small batch of plain compost tea brewing. Both HBSS will get a half gallon of tea and the worms will get a canna smoothie in the old avocado remains and fresh avocado bomb............big ones were on sale!
Those that have grown HBSS before, were your girls crazy resinous? I thought my Gelato 33 was resinous. HBSS easily blows that away! I just love the different form and characteristics canna can take.

I think the chopping at the base and putting her in the cardboard box is working really well.
Stomper barely feels wilted still after 5 days. With her quality, I really want to nail the dry and cure!
She is smelling heavenly!!!!!

Week 10 Day 70
Keeping VPD high with high temps of 82*F

I was mistaken about the big HBSS rez being dry, That should be today. Looking from the lower canopy, I'm inclined to want to defol for air flow, but I'm trying to keep the air exchange higher and encouraging airflow from bottom to top. I quelled that thought by killing the circ fans, placing a stick of incense between the EBs, closing up the tent and viewing from the window. Yup, good airflow. LOL! Fuggin' stoners!

Kong is continuing to progress with bud fattening, color change and fade. Still no ambers.

Both HBSS remain steady and growing and without progression of the problem.

All girls got 1/2 gal of compost tea with Boost and Canna juice from defol. Worms in the HBSS got canna bombs from defol and split an avocado between them.

CANNA BOMBS......... Soaked in the compost tea mix

Love that you gave them some incense.... very calming

The girls are continuing their development. Everyone seems happy.

The little HBSS is still struggling, but bud development is still continuing.

The big HBSS's colas are developing and filling in. I think she had a minimum of two weeks left, but I don't think much longer than that.
The letting the rez dry out has done no harm and the overflow water is clear and has no smell. TxRebel/Mark I don't know if you've seen this, but it's from Jeremy at Build A Soil. It could be very help to you. Her rez was filled.

Kong's trichs are maturing with more cloudy and buds are fattening with daily progress visually evident as she continues with her purpling and fade. She wasn't quite ready for watering and will get some tomorrow at first light.

Stomper's drying is going well. her fan and sugar leave are wilted, but still soft and flexible. Rh is at 65% and temps are 63-66*F. It it hard as hell not to take a sample. This girl's smell is just plain heavenly. I just know the cured canna is going to be mouthwatering.
.
Old and new media are cooking on the porch with a very nice mat growing from the bokoshi.

DAY 73

I received my MarsHydro SP6500 today. :cooldance:My first thought was to wait and put it in the tent on the next grow, but I received some hard data about the light in a 4x4, so I'll be switching out the lights tomorrow.:cools:

Kong's trichomes are maturing with more cloudy. I did find a few ambers, but very few. I hope she hurries up, but I doubt if she runs more than 3 days. Colas are getting faaaaaat! Kong got a little over half gal with a little Boost and molasses top watered and a quart of plain water in the bottom. That should be her last feeding, but she will get a watering at her last lights out for a chop at first light.

Both HBSS are doing well, despite their respective problems. It's interesting on how each are forming their colas differently. The small one has tight spacing and more compact. The big one has larger spacing and filling that in. There will be some big colas on that one. The little HBSS got her rez filled yesterday with clear no smelling water coming out the overflow.
I'm resisting the urge to thin out the HBSS girls, especially the big one, for air flow. Once Kong is out, the airflow will improve with respacing of the Ebs.

As soon as Kong is chopped, I can space out the Earthboxes better and really take advantage of the reflected light to help fill in the far end colas.

You can get an idea of the size of the colas on the big HBSS

Hey your Kong leaves have turned purple like my Bruce Banner's did. Now I don't feel like I didn't something wrong to make that happen! I was wondering why that happened. Just natural with some strains??

Yeah, it occurs naturally in some strains. I don't use Kong's full name most times. It's Purple Kong. :eyebrows: :cools:

FLAME ON!

GOOD GOD THIS IS A BRIGHT LIGHT!!!!!!
THE MARSHYDRO SP6500 IS
INSTALLED!
I made a couple of mods to the growroom. I added a little to the tent exhaust. I'm now directing the exhaust towards the new driver, that's mounted on a shelf outside the tent, and out of the primary lung room. That new Inventronics driver is HEAVY!!! Moved the outlet strip too because of the size of the driver too. Since this is much more powerful, I mounted the dimmer in a better position so I can dim when needed.

It's just shy of 30inches.....yup......30 inches above the canopy. That should roughly be in the mid to low 800's in the center area and the sides should be in the 700's with the reflected light coming into play.

Lights on in a few hours. I'll have to keep an eye on the thermal load in the tent and get an ider where it's gonna run.
THANKS AGAIN MARSHYDRO!
:headbang: :headbang: :headbang:

Dimmed to the minimum
