Indoor Mars Hydro grow journal: WildBill does Hubbabubbasmelloscope in EarthBoxes under MarsHydro SP3000

those 2 in the earth boxes are looking like they will be biguns! that has been my experience with them as well ...they grow big plants!

my best yield from a SIP grown plant so far was a double grape x white crack from 2 runs ago it was approaching 5 feet tall and that was with LST...it dominated most of the space in my 4x4 and yielded almost 250 grams and probably had the potential to do even more than that

I have gone from running 4-6 fabric pot plants in my 4x4 to 2 or 3 in SIPS
I could easily see only running two SIPS in a 4x4.

I thought I performed LST last night??

I must have been really high and just imagined it!

Wink Wink....Nudge Nudge......Know what I mean? Know what I mean?:eyebrows::eyebrows:

The girls are better and growing like crazy. They seemed to react well with the last microbe infusion. Too soon to see any response to the barley juice from last night, but the looked well this morning.

Just before lights on.

Things are not optimal though. There is no more random brown spotting. There are still older fan leaves not affected and very green. There is still an underlying condition as evident in the lighter color on new growth. I don't see how it could be a Mg def from too little Mg, but something is limiting the availability. Could I add some fulvic acid to maybe increase the efficiency of the uptake of what the plant is struggling to get?
With limited diag tools to check the Ph of the media, I just don't want to just throw something out there.
More Suggestions?

Here’s some interesting info! Maybe someone can make something of this.

So I take this combo Ph/soil moisture probe and take some samples.
Stomper and Kong register a Ph of 6.6 and 6.7 respectively.

On the right HBSS, the harder hit, I took a sample at the plant end and a sample at the far end. Plant end registered 6.7 and opposite end registered 7.0
On the Left HBSS, it registered slightly less than 6.7at the plant end and slightly less than 6.9. I know this probe isn't accurate, but it sure can show a trend.

Here's some thoughts:

The more normal ph is in the area where the lights couldn't heat the media as much with the plant shading that area.

The more normal ph is also in the area where the plant roots are VERY thick. I could feel the resistance on insertion of the probe vs very little on the opposite end

Last check before I hit the hay.
Quick check shows a lot of HBSS came up close to the other girls.
The high points are 23in from the lights again, so I raised the lights an inch. They'd be too close when I would wake up.

Well, Kong took over the height race! LOL!
Did a couple of leaf tucks. Very Pretty girl! Rock did well with this one.

Both girls got the top of the media wetted down with tap water with a little bit of yucca powder........just a light dusting on top of the water.
They may get watered tomorrow at their start of light cycle with tap water with a little molasses added.

I didn't add water to the HBSS girls. I forgot to put some in a bucket yesterday. Yeah, I get water back and I didn't fill at least one bucket.:gassy:
I'll just add it in the morning.

About 45min ago.................more HBSS up to the level of the other girls. Still surprises me in the amount they can change.
I didn't get to water yet. Haven't finished my first bit of canna chocolate coffee.

The grape smell hits first then the bubblegum comes in. I just think it's funny as hell there's a damn bubblegum smell!

It's been several weeks since last top dressings for all the girls and with it being the beginning of week 7, I figured it was prime time. With Kong and Stomper, it should be their last with Boost and tea taking them out the back door.

All girls got the same ingredients.
I pulled all the hay cover from all the girls. HBSS got fresh replacement.

HBSS recieved two and a half square bottom solo cups of castings with worms each and other girls got one cup each. I haven't harvested much from the worm bin. This should be some REALLY good castings with all the things I've fed them since I started it. They got all the defol veg matter from the last grow blended into a slurry, many avocados I got from the store that were going to be thrown out, several sprouted seed slurry of popcorn and barley, and veggie scraps. Must have been some good stuff with the crazy amount of worms I have. I need to harvest worms and casting and start over.

Each HBSS got 1/3 cup of Kelp and alfalfa. Other girls got a heaping tablespoon of each.

Each HBSS got 1/2 cup of bokoshi. Didn't give it to the other girls/

In the EBs, this was thoroughly watered in with spray bottle with tap water and tiny bit of molasses and yucca. Then 3 cups of compost added and wetted. Hay replaced and also wetted.

All KONG and Stomper's ingredients added and watered in with 3/4gal/each of tap water with molasses at the rate of 1 tablespoon/gal.

Yeah, HBSS is a hot mess, right after finishing and still is this morning, but little better. They still have good airflow, but it's not gonna be too much longer I'll need to do a little defol. I pulled off some of the tie downs to do the dressings and was just hurting too much to fix it back. It's not too bad this morning. I'll fix it today and try to leave it alone for a week.

I tipped over the EBs and drained most of the rez water and replaced it with plain tap water.

Love your grows, and I love growing organically, I have a few in at the mo that have that lovely dark hue like yours.. I'm hanging about, I'm already learning from reading through this grow
Cheers dude, I'm looking forward to seeing yours at the point of pulling them out.

Thanks man!
Organics is easy. Container Organics is sure different. The girls in the 7gal pots are on cruise control and should finish out with just Boost and compost teas.
The EarthBoxes are something else. I know I caused the problem with them and I've learned a few things that I'll use in the next run.

I've not tried earth boxes.. I've got a 10 in 1 pot grow diary and my main run diary if ta fancy popping in? :vibes:

Just checked the girls and HBSS is already asleep one hour before lights out.

Other girls are very happy
