I checked the Ph of the run off from both plants and there was no change in Ph. I did find it interesting that there was a difference in color between the two samples, even though the EBs have the exact same ingredients.
maybe due to how fast you pouring in water?I checked the Ph of the run off from both plants and there was no change in Ph. I did find it interesting that there was a difference in color between the two samples, even though the EBs have the exact same ingredients.
It's possible. I thought that too. Especially since I put the fill on the same side as the drain. I do think that the turbulence from the water stirs the water enough. The staining of the water backs that though process up.maybe due to how fast you pouring in water?
I have some nylon elbows that have a threaded/nut end that I use to drain water into a can with 3/8" tubing attached. You could turn them to an upright position and attach a short piece of tubing which could give you an idea ow water level and stick your baster or syringe in the endIt's possible. I thought that too. If there was any Ph change, it should have shown up even if it was small.
Keep up the input! I do appreciate it greatly!
Your question just gave me an idea to EASILY keep an eye on the quality of my rez water. I'll just use a turkey baster to suck up a sample. If mine won't fit far enough. I'll just attach a little clear plastic hose.
If I find I need to remove and replace the water for any problem, I have a couple of options in my shop to remove it.
Cool! Next time you have it out and using it, take a pic if ya would.I have some nylon elbows that have a threaded/nut end that I use to drain water into a can with 3/8" tubing attached. Siphon hose may do the trick. It's possible. I thought that too. Especially since I put the fill on the same side as the drain. I do think that the turbulence from the water stirs the water enough. The staining of the water backs that though process up.

Nice set up.We should start a thread or section for SIPs
I could, but it would have to be about 40 long to get a good elevation change for it to work.Siphon hose may do the trick.
