New Grower mars-hydro 94x3w relector

I went with the 96x3. it should get here tues or wed. they were having some kind of labor problem at custom's/ shipping but on track now. I was getting worried

Heya,

The 450W reflector series light is fantastic, for the money. A good friend uses them exclusively and I've not seen a bad grow of his yet. Matter of fact, he's the same guy that turned me on to this site and has used that company's early LEDs with great success also. I own two of the 150W units and besides the noisy fans, I got not complaints.

The 96 x 3 Reflector is my main light in my larger tent. Love it...along with the 2 135W UFOs in there.

The primary difference with the Mars II's is that the LEDs are 5W units instead of 3W units. The Mars IIs
are full spectrum all the time (unless ordered with custom spectrum) and the Reflectors give you the choice
to run Veg only or Veg & Bloom.

Trapper, I've decided on this light too. But, all the pictures I've seen have the 144 x 3w typed into the body of the page but embeded in the pic itself it says 5w. Been wondering if they had up graded. Can you tell me what the minimum distance to the plants you can go without worry of burn?
Can they be put on a dimmer?

It's nowhere near the sound of an ac, about the same decibels as a noisy old desktop pc. With my two 150W units if I don't keep the built in robe's doors shut (my tent is inside that) then you can clearly hear a whine, with them shut, no problem. So, if you expect to have people in the same room as a stealth grow you may hear a faint sound, unless you can contain the cab in another structure, or keep the TV or radio on.

That's about what I have now so it won't be a big deal. As far as guests, I shut down when the doorbell rings.. No matter who it is.
My biggest concern is limited head space and having them grow into it. I'll knock them down if need be. I like to do 3 so the 144 works out just fine for my space. As long as it won't cook them

That's why I asked. I'll confirm the 3w when I order. If they can be run on a dimmer all the better.
