So I did the reservoir change to the transition week. I accidentally measured an extra gram of K. I originally had 4 on the chart. I also added 1 gram of P that I normally do not use and is not in the calculations.

What was it? Just curious.

Shit! I knew it. The plants are showing some Calcium and maybe a little Magnesium lock-out today :grrr1: The PPM was just under 600. but the balance is the problem. I cannot get the Nitrogen down low enough with the calcium high enough.

I am looking into using calcium sulfate dihydrate (gypsum). I was always under the impression that this was not soluble in water. I found an article that states that it is soluble up to 550 PPM before it begins to drop out of solution. Since I only need to add 100 - 150 PPM this should work for me.

I have sent an Email to Harley Smith asking for his opinion on this subject but I will not be holding my breath for an answer as he has never responded to any of my past inquires. It may be different now that he is no longer with NPK Indusries?

So in the meantime today I flushed with 300 PPMs to see if I can reset the balance in the cubes.

When I set out to make a nutrient schedule for Autos my goal was to create something easy to follow with off the shelf products. It is looking more and more like this is just not possible.

I may have to purchase all 13 elements individually and start from scratch. The problem of a water soluble Calcium only product still remains?

Thank you. I think I may be see the same stuff early early signs. But noticed my anvil did not like it when I hit 500 ppm. I’m pretty sure I see signs of to much N as well. But will keep on plan

Probably a dumb question, but have you thought about making your own WSC? All you need is oyster shell flower and vinegar. Of course you'd have to figure out how much calcium that actually has but don't you have a gadget for testing that stuff?

Yes, I have. the problem is what else is in it? I can test for calcium but the other parts will be unknown. It also needs to be repeatable for the same strength for other users in the future.

I am not giving up. I will figure it out but I must admit that I am frustrated at the moment. I hate it when my tools and knowledge limits what I want to do.
