Ah, I see. Do you prefer to keep your coco somewhat moist or do you try and let it dry out a bit? I saw this guy online who says he likes to keep his moist and believes that it helps with feeding.
I let it dry out to the point it almost feels weightless.. I am sure the inner coco is still moist a bit. With coco you have a lot of room for error when it comes to watering, the way the coco lays it is very hard to saturate the medium to the point that there is no oxygen for the roots. So you can water on the heavy side if you want. That being said your nutrients still need to be in line to keep from burning the plants or having some nutrient locked out due to an imbalance. Hope that helps a bit.
"AFN smoke out"Thanks so much guys! Yea 5 all the way. The last one I did had a crazy root mass in the 5 gal they can really take up the root space if you give it to them. Here is a pic.
