Hello Everyone!!

I fully understand the process behind making dry ice hash. I understand the sub-zero temps cause the trics to become brittle and fall off.

Here is where I get confused and may confuse others as well...

Does the Trim/Bud need to be dried or cured before using dry ice extraction? Does the potency of the hash go up if the bud used was dried and cured?

Can you just chop down a fresh plant, stick the bud and trim in the freezer for a few hours, and then proceed with the dry ice extraction?

Will you get more pollen if you fry and cure the bud?

Sorry for so many questions and thanks for any Answers or Help!

This is the plant that I am considering. The main cola is pretty and far more mature than the lower branches. Should I chop the cola and try my hand at dry ice hash?

Well you can bro I think that dry frozen yields better and I think you get better quality from dried material , not saying fresh is that much of a difference but there is some I also noticed it was more of a pain in the ass when it was all wet it just kind of clumped and froze together once it was mixed in the dry ice . seems like all the water in the plant made it harder IMO its worth it to dry if your gonna do dry ice hash but if you want to make some bubble I use fresh frozen material and get the best results just don't over adjitate it for the first run . Hope this helps

From the looks of her, I wouldn't do anything yet.
I know it is hard to wait, especially if you are out of smokeables, but she looks far from ready to me.
The hash can be taken from fresh frozen green, but it will taste better & probably have a bit more potency if cured.

Thanks for the advice everyone... I still dont know what I am going to do...
