nice man! I'm making canna butter on Monday with mine!

The nachine is so easy to use I forget to take pictures anymore. Do you use a butter mold? I bought a silicone one, to make sticks.

If you are making strained butter/oil with MBM, bear in mind that about half the medicine remains in the strained out sludge.
There are 3 things you can do, assuming accurate initial decarb:
(1) Strain, but save the potent sludge for some other use.
(2) Don't strain, but instead leave all the herb in the butter.
(3) Don't even bother making butter at all. Simply grind decarbed herb to powder, and mix it into the oil of any recipe. Avoid to much over-decarbing heat.
These last two items will produce edibles having slight herb taste, a small price to be paid for making herb go twice as far.

I use the strainer that came with the machine. It is rather potent cocobutter! We make edibles and just give some to friends. I will definitely see what we can do wirhe the sludge, thanks for that tip.

Please do! I use their recipes at full strength. Just be careful to have good ventilation using the everclear, 190 can be volatile.

I was going to use everclear, but little worried it may blow up lol. Should this be a concern with my mbm2? Is there a safer alcohol to use in a tincture?

What can you make with the sludge?

I never have potent sludge, because I either use 190 proof ethanol for extraction, or leave the sludge in other edibles by not straining.
A google search might yield a useful sludge recipe.
You might be able to extract most of the medicine from it with 190 EC, but I've never done that with oily sludge.

I was going to use everclear, but little worried it may blow up lol. Should this be a concern with my mbm2? Is there a safer alcohol to use in a tincture?

It won't blow up if you use a covered electric stove burner with vent and fan.

You can use everclear in the machine, just do it in a well ventilated area. Safety first. There are videos out there using that method. Ive never sone anything with tge sludge, probably could do a wash but since i mainly run coconut oil i just trash it.

I trash the sludge, just give it a squeeze with the love glove and get out all the oil/butter. No right or wrong way, I just dont like the plant matter or the chlorophyll taste in my oils or butters, its why put my oil in capsules.

everclear is good to go in the machine. I made a couple batches and gave it to my daughter. I ran the MB on the back deck outside with everclear.
Pro tip, head to home depot or Lowes and get a 6 pack of paint strainers. I run 2 of em to keep all the particulates out of my stuff.
