New Grower Lucy's Very First Grow - Ak48 auto in soil LED

The Variegated plant is doing well, buds are fattening up nicely. I see a few more amber trichomes but the majority are cloudy now. I think she'll only go another week but I won't take her until she's good and ready. If she goes two more weeks I'll have to support that main cola. It's heavy and pulling the whole plant to one side.

Yes NiceOption, these buds are very firm. Stinky's are too even in the jar. The jars are up from 47% to 58 % humidity. What am I shooting for here as a perfect humidity ? 62?

Look and sounds great! Yep, 60-62% ideally. Anything in that range should be fine though. Sounds like it's working a dream.

Day 110

My last guess on how long the Variegated plant would go was not very accurate. In just 4 days since then her trichomes went to 15-20% amber so I took her early this a.m. She has very rubarb colored stems and not nearly as much scent as Stinky gurl. She got 8 days of slow watering to overflow with no nutes which is pretty much all I do for a flush.

I can't wait to see how much she yeilds. She's a biggun. I don't weigh mine wet. I try not to disturb the trichomes & resin until I absolutely must. She'll hang whole with no trim for 3 days. She'll get a trim as she goes into the paper bags but it won't take long. She has far less leaves ( even the sugar leaves got covered by the buds themselves). My RH here is only 28% so I won't leave her in the bags as long as I did with Stinky. It's sooooooo dry right now.

Sent from my comfy chair.

And just for the fun of it, here is a picture of them both together on harvest day. Maybe this will put other people's mind at rest when they get a highly variegated plant. I read up on it for hours before deciding to keep her and of course at first I imagined that I had the dreaded "tobacco virus" disease.

Srinky's buds looked a lot larger but she had a ton of large sugar leaves and looked fluffier with all the foxtailing. I had trimmed her way down in this photo but the variegated one has had no trim at all. She is just solid dense buds with no fluffy leaves.

Aww crap, I forgot to do something before I cut her down. Last week my BF came through the front door while I photographed the variegated one in my kitchen. He said "Geeze you oughta hang lights on that thing and use it as your Christmas tree this year" and I meant to do it just as an AFN joke. Poop. That woulda been funny.
