New Grower Lucy's Very First Grow - Ak48 auto in soil LED

Big day today as Stinky Gurl went into the jars yaaaaay. Sadly, I think it is over dried. Time will tell I guess. I hung her whole for the first 3 days then trimmed her up fully and put all the buds in paper bags. I used the paper bags because my humidity was too low for drying and I had hoped the bags would keep some moisture in. The buds were in the bags for 8 days.

I'm very confused about the weight. I don't like this scale but it's all I have. It's reading 89 grams which I know is too high. I tested it like 6 times with calibration weights and it was dead on but this weight seems wrong. I did not strip out all of the stems inside the buds because I am hoping they will rehydrate the buds some. These stems are likely adding the extra weight maybe?

Anyway, I have a good supply of some great weed and another one due to come down in a week or so. I am very happy with it.

looks like a decent haul to me. You have Bovedas in there? I've found it pretty much sorts out any problems with overdrying, just make sure to keep a check on the packs and replace them when needed.

Yes I have 62 % Bovedas in the jars. I hope you are right. It would be a shame to over dry them since I don't ever smoke it and I can vape it right off the plant. I do want to give some as Christmas presents to a few friends so I care very much how it smokes.

I agree with NiceOption - get the boveda. Your weed will be perfect for a lot longer. I’ve never tried it, but you’re supposed to be able to rehydrate them as well.

I think you'll be fine with the Bovedas, I overdried my last harvest a little and they sorted it out after a couple of weeks, a month or so later and they tasted dreamy, the longer they were left, the better they got.
I find the difference in taste is really noticeable with vapes too. Cured and uncured is night and day!

I agree with @NiceOption and @davisgirl . Bóveda packs have saved my pot on more than one occasion. I use them in all my jars now. 89 grams seems about right. My pint jars usually hold about an oz each. Great job, enjoy the fruits of your labors!

Boveda packs, especially small ones, might struggle to bring up to 60% rh. If this happens a bit of orange peel in the jar does the trick or a slightly misted paper towel for 15 to 20 minutes in the jar does it.

My variegated plant is taking waaaay long to finish but I am glad that I kept her since she has turned into a big girl. She is 37 inches tall with a 1 foot cola. Her trichomes are about 60% cloudy, 40 % clear. She is not foxtailing so the pistils are maybe 50-60 % brown. I am hoping to get another 2 weeks to fill out the buds more. I am guessing she'll be about 4 oz as she has more buds than stinky did.

I vaped her for the first time last night and it was very good. Not quite as potent as Stinky but very close and she isn't finished yet. I expect they will both be the same in the end which is great.
Considering what a total noob I am and that I made some serious mistakes with this grow I give Nirvana a big thumbs up for two great plants. Even I couldn't screw these genetics up LOL.
