Grow Room Looking for oscillating pole fans?

if I was you id buy yourself a bigger fan and try and mount it some way as these small ones do crap out very early and with the bigger fans some folks put them on the roof bars

I'm done with 6" fans, never found one that lasted much more than 6 months. Then i figured a way to add a Hurricane 12" to my tents, just added a mounting board for them. 8 months i ran them, off for 4 months, then been going another year now non stop with out failure. Never needed more than low speed.
Yeah, I really don't like the 6in fans.. Just not enough airflow!

Do you think it would be easy to use two cfm poles and make some method of mounting one of the wall mount larger fans?

Easiest way to mount a wall mount like the hurricane 12” is the Ramblin Man mount that we were talking about earlier IMHO. I’ll try to take a photo later. I mounted mine as high as possible in my 4x4. Angled down but it still hits my entire canopy.

Or you can use a board like Gone Camping mentioned. I’ve seen another guy on YouTube who made a mount from two baking cooling racks as well.

Thanks! Pics would be great of that set up and with Gone Camping :headbang::headbang::headbang::thumbsup::thumbsup:

I haven't had any mold problem. I want more flow for more even environmental conditions. It was a problem in the early days of this current grow. It's corrected now, but it's pretty particular on fan placement. As plants come up and lights move around, that changes the airflow properties and requirements. I want some fan with extra 'room' with more capabilities.

I’m heading in there in a minute to print some orders so I’ll take a couple quick photos.

Another prefabricated option if you have a Gorilla is those new wall boards, utility boards, can’t remember what they call them, that snap onto your tent poles like the CFM kits. You can mount a fan to those. The Lite Line version “might” fit on other tents like their CFM kits do? But not sure.

That is my #1 choice at this point. I am using a tower fan that is only 10 days old and it already started making clicking sounds after only a week of use. Unfortunately for me I got it at Lowes and the wife threw out the box and receipt.
If you bought it with a credit card, you can return it to Lowes and they can look up the card and replace it. Just go to the same store you bought it at

Alright for @WildBill . And anyone else wondering about the Ramblin Man hurricane mount.

As you Can see it’s getting pretty juicy in the 4x4. Couple floor fans on the floor blowing up too. But yeah. My little 6” fans weren’t cutting it. So I moved them to my 4x2. As I said earlier the 12” hurricane is more than enough on low.

And then the hurricane fan and mount. mounted as high as I could get it so it doesn’t block any light, or crowd me too much.

Green bean setup looks well done, I found a quick solution overnight with things I had on hand.

Just a piece of left over lumber, with zip ties in CV corners just tight enough to keep it secure.. and a hanger attached to top center to adjust for height.

And another in my second tent.

You'll see I also used lumber for the sides to hold back from negative pressure and attach trellis if needed. Or string to hang my harvest.

I would’ve definitely gone with the lumber route personally. I just always find myself futzing around on the sides of the tent and was paranoid about fucking something up/ knocking something down. Basically because I’m an idiot. But yeah you’re method is a great one as well.
