Longest growing autoflower?

I've no problem buying auto seeds. I'm not interested in the process you post about. Different strokes for different folks. Of course it helps that I don't have any budget constraints.

I've no problem buying auto seeds.

I like having a variety of weed in my stash, and I see autos as a way to do that.

I don't have the luxury of a separate flower tent, and with autos I can have 4 different strains with different flowering times and at varying stages of maturity at any given time in one closet. That, and there's some strains with high THC/ CBD in interesting ratios and wider general variety all the time!

I do have a tight budget, and small space, so I cant buy more seeds than I can use....

I quit clones, because of the mites and root aphids that came with them. Seeds are bug free and a good way to try different strains.
If I just grew the same strains I would diffidently clone.

Northern Lights...
I've been growing autos for a few years now..and love' em...They can be every bit a flavorful and strong and photos..you just sometimes have to wait a little while as the 'latest and greatest' photos get converted to autos...

Here's the reason why some would prefer autos...

Auto flower work best for those who intend to grow outdoors in areas with shorter summers..For example, lets say I start two photoperiod plants...one indoors to get a head start a month early, and one outdoors directly in the soil..by the end of summer, the one started early will be much larger than the one planted outside directly in the ground...The problem...both of them will still start to flower at the same time and neither are likely to finish where I live on the Canadian prairie...as they are both triggered by reduced sun hours...
However, with an Autoflower, they grow like tomatoes..you start them early indoors, and its the maturity of the plants that determine when it flowers thus you can time planting outside according to allow them to finish...
That's a huge advantage for us Northerner's!

I'm actually looking for autoflowers with longer veg cycles..so that at the end if summer I've got some decent sized..there is a big difference amongst autoflower strains..

oh..and one more thing...Auto's are esentially supercharged...You're running them at 20-24 hours a day...All that light keeps pumping for both veg AND flower...creating lots of cannabinoids and terpenes faster...as photos have light is cut to 12 hours during flower!

Yep normal photos wont be able to flower properly outdoors in the north. If not auto, it needs to be some early/long day genetics that has been grown indoors for a while and even then if you get a crappy late summer, it might not finish or could end up rotting.
In the early days of low ryder, it was pretty much just northeners who saw the potential in autos and started to cross it with photos ad also shared these on forums. There was pretty active auto scene in some northern places already like 15 years ago. When i was growing like 13 years ago(just started again), there werent many commercial autoflowers beside, maybe like 5 or so besides low ryder, but i still managed to get 7 different autoflowers from local forums, all low ryder x photo or early crosses, which i also made some seeds with myself.

If someone says that af is worthless, tell him to move north, grow weed outside and then start talking again xD

#1 reason for me nowadays for growing autos is that its just that fucking awesome when some genetic mutation that happened to some roadside weed in siberia is being crossed with proper high thc weed and having the cool genes isolated and combined.

#2 reason is because i can grow more different strains in different stages of life in the same tent, allowing me to do perpetual harvests without having to buy a second tent. Also allows me to perpetually harvest variety of different strains. Losing a plant for reason or other wont cause as big dent in my weed bag and i get more of different weeds. Okay maybe this is really the #1 reason

#3 reason is because im interested in breeding my own plants and i rather breed something i could also grow outside if i want to.

I dont grow for money or for anyone else, so if i get enough for my personal use, its enough weed for me. So having the biggest harvests(which photos do provide) is not a driving force for me past a certain point, which autos seem to be able to provide.

How did you cross? I thought you couldn’t take cuttings because it would take on the age of the mother plant? Forgive my ignorance I’m new to this and just finishing up my first grow.
