GloriaHow did you cross? I thought you couldn’t take cuttings because it would take on the age of the mother plant? Forgive my ignorance I’m new to this and just finishing up my first grow.
Great questions!
I made my crosses two ways,
First, by breeding a desired "photo period" male from a diiferent strain with my desired "autoflowering" females that were produced using feminzed seed...This way,.I created a bunch of regular seed, all of which carried the recessive gene for autoflowering....Once I take the male pollen from these offspring to pollenate the female sister offspring I produce an f2 generation...these f2's will produce approx 25% Autoflower regular plants...
Remember... propagation takes on many forms..seeds, cuttings, tissue culture.
Cuttings just not a good way to do autos as pointed out.
Second way to do crosses... if all you have is one plant, or just females is to use collodial silver...Mist one branch of your female plant regularily during flowering and it will produce pollen sacs on that branch..this pollen can be used on both itself to self a plant as well as breed other females...feminized seed, lots of info if you google.
cheers
