Hey guys,

7 weeks old today. At a total loss... Lost all lower leaves. Given ph'd water the last week trying to bring the medium pH down. The poy pH comes down when watered and creeps back up when drying out. I'm tempted to try a flush...

Here she is currently...

What are your thoughts?

She looks hungry and sad.

Am continuing to feed water ph'd to 6 but the pot keeps returning to around 7.

Infirmary?

yeah id get something in the infirmary i think since she’s in bloom, you’ll want some experienced eyes on this one.

How much are you watering her btw? and what’s the feed ratios your using?

what colour are the stems, have they gone a deep red/magenta by any chance? if they are could be a N deficiency though it’s not as likely at this point

If you’re growing in soil the pH always seems to climb back up after feeding, but as long as your feed is around 7 or under in soil it shouldn’t cause an issue to the microbial system in the roots.
What range is the soil reading before feeding?

Can’t say for certain but there looks like a bit of overwatering possibly the way those leaves are drooping but also signs of deficiency so i’m not certain.

I normally take one of the worst leaves off and then use it to compare to the deficiency and disease index in my horticulture books but i think they have one here too!
It’s really helpful as when you figure it out if gets easier in future

Tbh a flush can often do more harm than good, especially when they’re showing deficiency you don’t want to strip your medium bare.

The infirmary is never a bad idea. Waira is awesome. Try to get closer up pics too. It almost looks like she’s just nearing the end, but I guess it’s too soon for that?

Good luck.

She’s a bit too young really as also it seems to be affecting more than just older growth there otherwise i would have thought the same tbh

Got an NL Auto in myself atm so i’m pretty vested in seeing how she turns out!

The soil is 6.8-7 before feeding. The unhappy looking leaves have been that way for a few weeks. I thought it brought on by having the lights to close but it's not gone away. The yellowing leaves has been over the last week. I haven't given any nutrients in the last week because the soil pH has been high without realising it and I expected an overload of nutrients in the soil due to lock out.

Now I'm thinking they may just need a good feed? They get about half a litre every couple of days. I always lift the pots to check the weight and have a moisture button on the probe as well. I don't think it's over watering despite the look.

You may be right in that she might be hungry. Still, I’d head over to the infirmary with all the pertinent stats. I always learn a lot just reading the threads.

6.8-7 is perfect for soil man, when you feed it will drop a little but neutral soil is no problem because as long as you’ve got decent soil the buffering effect takes care of most of that. As long as you’re not given them excessively high pH feed, i just do 6.6 and they love it.
I give my plants around .5ml-1ml of organic feed every day or (less often when younger) when they start drinking enough and just give her clean water feeds here and there.
I’d expect the plant is suffering a little bit from lack of food hence how she’s draining certain leaves for bud production so i’d get some bloom feed to her asap tbh

Also at that age i’d expect them drinking a lot more than half a litre every couple of days, bearing in mind you only really want to the top inch to dry out.

Like i said mine drink about 1l every 1-3 days maximum after they get out of the seedling phase and really kick off growth.
In flower it’s 1l a day average and during that veg/bloom phase could be every 2 days and during the midst of veg could be 3 or more.

Also could be under watering as it shows very similar effects to over watering in combo with under feeding.

If i was you i’d give them a good amount of very low concentration bloom feed, water until there is mild run off to make sure the soil is nicely saturated and i think she’d pick up.
When you underwater any potted plant a bit it can take quite a while to show IMO
But ofc there’s more experienced guys out there, most of my knowledge is gained from books and more legal plants haha
