Grow Room Ljufmennid cabinet grow // LED - CFL - DWC //

going to have an update today or on the weekend but here is basically what happened !

The plant survived and this is how; 2-3 water chances a week, decreased the strength of VEG. nutrition and increased the amount of root stimulate and Cannazym that is an enzyme formula from CANNA !!! ^^

I manage to save photo. strains before so happy that she also survived BUT in one of my water chances I dropped my EC pen directly on top of my blueberry seedling that had just popped two days earlier :slaps:

So now I am going to wait couple of days while I fix a box outside my cabinet to keep my air pump and hopefully keep my bucket around 20c

I am planning on getting some Styrofoam and insulating the outsides of my totes/buckets to keep the temp. more stable !

Right now I got 3x 500ml yogurt plastic buckets that I keep 3/4 filled with water and in the freezer and drop them every 5 hours into the tote but in less then two weeks I start working again so I need to fix a better solution and I was inspired by /Grey bear Styrofoam cooler boxes he uses for DWC and wanted to try that

I have 2 other ideas I am keeping for the summer, one is getting a computer radiator for each res. and the other one is getting a tiny fridge and inserting two steel coils inside that I can pump the liquid through and back into the res, I want to make a chiller that works for two DWC buckets with different nutrition in it, that was basically the plan with the tiny fridge

ljufmennid' I've been working on keeping my res cool and this what I've come up with. I am not using it yet. I have it mounted in the side of a plastic cooler. It uses the same tech as a CPU cooler. It's pricey at around $140US, with it's controller, but it's simplest solution I've found. It's called an IceProbe Aquarium Chiller. :Sharing One:

Dude that looks awesome ... thought the price scares me a bit because I been looking into building one my self and I just cant put more money into my grow equipment until maybe next year :D

Got to many other thinks I need to safe for, 2 trips abroad, tools for my farm, seeds for next year and a green house so ... I have to wait but I want to know how this is going to work out for you !!!!

I'd hook up a Peltier chip to a heat sink, a radiator and a pump if I was going to circulate water. I bought the IceProbe for simplicity but I agree the price is steep compared to what you can piece together on Aliexpress.

I think it's a good thing you backed off the nutes a bit. Other than the tips, plant looks happy! But I wanted to say that micro growing is a whole arena of it's own. You are working very hard at having a great grow! I like this about you. You wake up, realize any problems and set out through the day and think of a solution! THAT IS AWESOME!! Mad props to you bro! One thing we used to do when starting out was freezing a bottle of water. Like 16oz or so. Then we would just throw it in the the tank. It worked long enough until we figured out the cure for the heat..

Thanks so much for the kind words ! yeah I been using a 2lt or a 68 OZ bottel but that was way to big for the tote and was freezing off the roots :P, but now I got 16oz yogurt buckets and I drop one in each tote in the morning and then 12 hours later, tote stays 18c to 22c but its all to the heat around the air pump that seams to stay at 22c !

yeah funny but the reason for the nut burn was because I mixed the res in a hurry and did not have time to measure, then it spiked up to 1600 ppm!!! but now I am actually just using the well water I have here and the plant is LOVING IT ! ... no more rain water for me and I dont think I will need to buy Calcium magnesium because the water here is already chucked full of it ;)

Wondering if this could be bad but I think the plant is doing fine, now signs of slowing down or being root bound, actually the roots are finally growing like wild fire but the bottom of my DWC is just white powder :P

When I add the nutrition the water turns WHITE and then an hour later it settles down to the bottom but I dont feel like I should worry but maybe I should ask around here on the forum or maybe I am to lazy to do anything about it

Update nr. 7 - day 44 Polarlight#2 - day 7 DP Autoblueberry

Soooo lazy today so here are some pictures and some blablablabla

girls being happy in the stabilized totes, no more crazy heat swings in the water and no more well water either :P
freaking spiked the PH to 9.0 ! ! ! back to rain water

This little autoblueberry is going to do my proud because she is going to get to grow up in a good environment

but I dont think the Polarlight is doing that bad compared to the heat shocks and massive amount of root rot, getting 90% of her roots cut off and then replanted she is doing really okey, but lets see what the buds look like first though :D

2.jpg

I been doing this "tucking" technique instead of cutting the fan leaves away and it seams to work really nice but I hope really she is going to kick off with some kolas in the next 2 weeks because she is around 1 and a half week behind :P

still good compared to how sick she was 3 weeks ago :)

Had to post a compare shot of her less then one week ago and now because I was feeling she was not doing so much but now I can she that maybe she is doing much better then I thought, maybe just going to be 30 gr of this plant but still going to be proud of my first autoflower in my first "from scratch build" cabinet

not terrible I think :D

30 Grams is a good goal IMO... But I think you should get more. You have a awesome setup that is just now getting dialed in.

She's looking well, ljuf, heat problems all fixed ?

atb,

steely

Good work lj,

hard work pays off, and you are learning and sharing. That is the AFN way.

well done, eP.
