Ok I have never LST or Scrooged . What do you all feel it does?
My thought process is ( does not mean I am correct) they are autos and have a pre determined life expectancy. Therefore I have always just let them grow.. I just got almost 10 ounces dried jarred buds ( no stem weight) and I just let her grow.. Most the rest of the time ( I grow a lot of the faster strains) I get minimum 3 ounces on up to 6 just letting them grow.. What do you guys gain like have you ever grown the same strain and LSTd one or Scroged it and let the other one just grow and done a comparison?

Man, your getting good yields. I've tried lst once, did it to control height for the window grow. Trained an AU horizontally and hurded the main stem. Definitely did the job. Kept her indoor for 53 days and put her out in greenhouse and removed her restraints. Now at day 67 she is only 20" tall and seems like she has lots of bud. Never grown au before and never lsted so don't know effect on yield. Really controlled height.

LST and Scrog let you light the plant more evenly, and allow you to expose more bud sites and allow them to develop. I use them to get the light to the interior so that the buds that would have been little popcorn and fluff have the chance to become monsters. It does affect the height, but at least on mine, nearly every bud thinks it is a top. I have also heard that lighting more evenly creates a situation where the buds are all equally potent, rather than having more THC in the buds that got more light, or became more dominant. I cannot confirm that theory, as I have always scrogged, but it has always seemed reasonable to me.

I recently read that if you want your buds to have higher thc aka more trichomes then get your tent super low humidity during flower as what the article said is that the trichomes are there to protect the plant from uv light so the drier it is the more it will produce.. Not sure if it correct but it was something I read
