Locals were left bemused after a plot of cannabis plants appeared next to a public park - with helpful labels on each specimen.
Many of the 40 plants were neatly labelled and comprised 13 different varieties, including the highly potent and addictive Purple Haze.
Officers were called to the popular country park in Cambridge by a concerned member of the public who spotted the plants surrounded by wire mesh and branches being used to train them.

Gavin Guy, a Cambridgeshire police expert on drugs who served three decades with the police, said: 'All the plants were labelled with the names of the different varieties on them.
'I have seen this in similar areas such as a park in Cambridge and at the Spinney in Bar Hill.

'We are not going to hide an officer in the brambles to wait for the person to come by and check how their plants are doing.
'What you find is that they will plant in different places knowing that some will be found by the police and others will be for them.
'They will have to wait until the Autumn equinox before they are ready to harvest.
'This is a Class B drug and can cause harm.'

Police were called to the picturesque Milton Country Park, in Cambridge - the plants were being kept next door to the popular public space
Cambridgeshire police were called to Milton Country Park, which is owned by Anglian Water.
A Cambridgeshire police spokeswoman said: 'We were called at about 4.45pm on Saturday (April 16) with reports of a number of suspected cannabis plants found growing in an area within the Milton Country Park.
'The area is a small patch of land, about two metres by two metres, in a corner of land between the A14 and the railway line. The plants have been seized and destroyed by officers.'
The land is accessible through the park but is now derelict although is owned by the water giant.
A spokesman for Anglian Water said: 'This is land owned by Anglian Water which was historically part of the Milton treatment works before the A14 was constructed.
'It is no longer in use by Anglian Water and we have no knowledge of these plants or where they came from. We have left this matter in the hands of Cambridgeshire police.'
