Hi there guys! Hope you all had a great day. The wife and I enjoyed a good amount of food, and a nice, but chilly walk down well know beach here in FL. We got a few great pics for off the side of the pier, waves crashing, and pelicans flying, and my wonderful wife in the middle of it. I quit enjoyed it.

So for dinner, we stayed in and put my professional experiences to work (11 years). On the menu was 12oz fillets, and muscles with a white wine & garlic sauce. For sides we had home grown carrots steamed, and then lightly sautéed with honey and lemon zest, baked potatoes rubbed in olive oil infused with home grown herbs topped with toasted parmigiana, and broccoli lightly drizzled with herb butter. Drinks where a bottle of cabernet sauvignon, and also pinot grigio. For desert we enjoyed some cheese cake (I bought this, can't master all thing in the kitchen:biggrin:) topped with fresh home made raspberry compote and a glass of Lambic framboise. I didn't get pic of it all, but it was delicious.

Oh yeah, Grandma took the lil' one today, so it was quiet. Ahhhh silence, what a great sound. (I did miss my lil' goober though) All in all it was a very nice peaceful day.
:vibe:

Lets see... The least favorable Vday would have to be about 9 years ago. I took a nice day hike a few days prior, and apparently walked right in a huge patch of poison ivy, and didn't notice it. I think the only part of my body not affected was the bottoms of my feet. I cooked a nice dinner, and sat and squirmed the entire meal. There was no, ugh, happy endings, and due to being on high doses of steroids there was no wine to pair with the food. At least for me, she said it tasted great..... It was a miserable night needless to say.

Merthirolate,,that'd kil everything including your will to live..I know some of you guys remember that stuff!!! Just rub Mercury on an open wound..the things they did to us as kids( in the 70s)

Ok you foodies...how about some Tex-Mex lasagna. Improvised this tonight using chorizo sausage, some Anaheim and Fresno peppers, mix of some cheeses, and other various items from the cupboards. Belly is very happy and my mouth is on fire, so it's a good evening. Came out well enough that I had to share (taste wise...presentation needs some work):
