Hey Now!!
Any Dead Heads in here??
I am working on my Grateful Dead Archive. I am attempting to create as complete an archive of live Dead as I can. I already have a terabyte of Jerry, and am pretty much complete for 1977, 80, 81, 82, 83, 84, 85 and am working on 1986, 87, 88.
So, my question is does anyone want or need some shows for their collection or listening pleasure OR if you have an interesting copy of a show you want to share; let me know!!
Peace,
WWW
Dayum, huh. My last show was in 92.Was supposed to go in 94 to uniondale to see a show… missed the van by 4 minutes, and they weren’t waiting! Either close to last live show or last live show for Jerry. Didn’t google other dates but I know he passed in 95
Nice Willie!!! Definitely a lot of ground to cover! Now which ones of my 2000 cassettes would you like to borrow! .
Would love to do a 73 archive...Have it all on various drives somewhere. reminds me as I need to go through the little 10 show run in 73 with the horns. Martin Fierro and Joe Ellis
Think they were all September. There's a great Weather Report Suite from one of those that the jam is amazing and Bobby throwing in Tarzan vocals! . Don;t remember the date, but that show set starts with You Ain't Woman Enough, Let Me Sing Your Blues Away, into WRS
Happy archiving!!!
Funny you should say, just finished 74, working on 80, I'll work on 73 next!!
Dis one!!Sweet! 74 is amazing as well! Didn't do many shows after Brent checked out, but my last were the Florida ones in 94. Orlando. one of those was cancelled and there was a riot after the second urrrggghhhhh!!!, and two in Miami. The St Pete shows in 88 were a blast! well, if you don't count picking sand spurs outta everything for months
Think that WRS is the Providence 73
Funny you should say, just finished 74, working on 80, I'll work on 73 next!!
All of my cassettes were destroyed in a flood. Man was I upset. I m now all digital. I only really regret loosing my 2/23/70 tape. It was a bit fast and had a funny gap in The Other One. Man I wore out three copies of that bad boy. I had archived it to Reel. When DP 4 came out we were so excited to get the whole show but somehow with out the bit of extra speed and the funny cut, it just wasn't the same. . .
I do recall cutting out of some meeting, hopped in my 56' VW, picked up a hitch hiker on RT 1 in north Jersey. We proceeded to smoke a couple joints and drove until the tape ended. What a blast!
Dis one!!

No split window, it was a convertible. Oh, no, we did that. It was a long time ago. When 1970 wasn't too far in the past. That little bit of xtra speed always helps! Maybe not the cut, but sure there is someone that can accommodate the speed for ya though. 56 bug! Nice! That thing would be worth a fortune now. Did that have the split windows in the back?
