Thought about that since my runoff pump can get particles in it, but I have a filter after my feeding pump and before the lines :pass: My real concerns are calcium due to the coco, and pH stability. But I feel like if I start with the recirculating after a couple of weeks I should be good to go  I think once the coco has all the calcium it can handle it's just replacing itself with each fertigation

Would you drain/refresh weekly or couple weeks or are you talking about recirculating the whole grow? :pass:

Anybody tried recirculating the runoff from coco? Can't seem to find much info online. I know there's somebody else here that does it, but they have a much greener thumb then I do. My runoff ppm is the same coming out as going in, and the pH is lower but close to within range. Would save a good amount of $ and time :pass:
I would not do it, the plants will have selectively used stuff, so even if the ppm is similar, the composition is unlikely to be. If cost is what is driving you, just use cheaper nutes (Jacks 321, or two part MC, for example), and keep your runoff down to where it does not get more than 300EC or so different from the input. It will usually get higher because the plant will pull more water than nutes, or so it seems in my setup.

Anyway, good luck with it if you try it. Just watch the plants carefully, and at the first sign of nute mischief, go back to fresh nutes ASAP. All just my two cents worth of course. :pighug:

I told my wife that if I decide to move to a bigger tent, then its gonna be a 10x10 in the garage. But I like having my tents in my office because there are a lot of times I'm on a boring ass conference call wearing a bluetooth headset while I'm trimming plants.
Now that is my kind of conference call - damn things used to drive me around the bend, back when I had to put up with that stuff. Not any more, now my earphones are plugged into something a lot more pleasant when I am in trim jail. :pighug:

not sure on coco.. but hope you'll report....
2 things... use a large settling tanks... something like:

checkout DISC filters...
I'll get avideo up soon.. but basically (humidifer was getting a lot of sediment... added a 55 gallon suupy tank for it (both for volume and settling , now its STILL clean over a month later)

Disc filters:
Something like this but look for a lower mesh (40-80max) and search around price-wise etc.. VARIES a lot

cheers!
Got a disc filter like this on it. It's 120 mesh. Seems to keep the drippers pretty clean. I use a 20 gallon tub with a sump pump and pressure regulated drippers :pass:

I'm thinking recirculating and topping off during the week and fresh rez changes weekly. That would save me like 10 gallons of feed per week for the last 6 weeks or so...

It's and age thing. Most of you were in diapers then. Or not. :pighug: :crying:
Pretty sure even young folks know the phrase “don’t drink the koolaid” so you would think some would have a clue where it came from! I do watch a lot of documentaries tho so i know why i have seen the story!
