Hey @Olderfart you don't have a picture of your filter setup by chance do you ?

Yup:

The filter element loose:

The filter element wedged in place over the water outlet:

Both ends of this filter are open, so one end has to be sealed over the water outlet, and the other has to be blocked one way or another. I achieved both by wedging the thing in place with firm plastic foam at both ends. Bottom line is that water cannot leave the reservoir without going through the filter element, and this element is much finer and higher capacity than the things provided by Autopot.

I have also mounted the same pleated filter elements inside plastic 45 gallon drums, and in those, I modify the filter element so that the one end left open has a male pipe nipple sticking out of it which screws into the threads on the inside of a bulkhead fitting.

And on my current solo run, the pump pushes the nutes through one of these in a standard housing screwed to the outside of the drobe.

There are probably fifty ways to do it, just make the connection secure, and set it up so that the only way water/nutes can get out of the reservoir is through the filter element. They last for multiple grows, and are cheap. They are hugely more effective than the foam things supplied by autopots.

Good luck with it, shoot me questions any time.

Next time I start talking about wanting to pop multiple beans all at once can one of you please remind me how much my body hates me when I try to trim multiple plants one after another?

I love this thing. I dry trim with it. Yes I knocks off a few trichomes. There not lost; I just throw them in a jar for hashish.
