Which is one of the reasons why I cringe so hard when people still call it marijuana, cannabis doesn't have the same negative connotation/stigma that was put on it way back when.

Hey guys. Is it known for sure why cannabis was made unlegal?
In a normal world there is no reason to forbid/make something unlegal if it brings positive vibes and is not dangerous/lethal for us humans, animals or the earth we live on.
I was thinking about this today and i could not get it straightened out.
Those who made this decision made it of a reason and i want to understand why. Does anyone here have the true story behind?

Also, the rest of the world followed suit in 1961 by signing a narcotics treaty and agreeing to not legalize the plant or its cultivation

I think it was about control you had these newly formed agencies for prohibition that when it ended that wanted something to do. I'm sure William Randolph Hurst wanted his trees he owned to be used for paper. I think it was alot of greed that made it illegeal they just used ppls racism to help get it passed. I think it was about money and with Nixon he wanted to more power and go after his political opponents who were smoking cannabis. Just like today it's being made legal because they can get more money from it being legal and still fight the illicit producers.

Well in Florida we have to start all over again as it seems they don't want to recognize signatures from the last 2 ballot initiatives citing that they are too old to have relevance in 2024......So on Feb 2nd we get to start canvassing ...again....while 2 legislators are trying an end run and proposing bills that would restrict what was allowed on ballot votes to amend the state constitution.....and those would take amending the state constitution..... ....................fvcking govmnt.
If anything therr is more support bill
You'd think they would just hop on the bandwagon you guys got la Georgia they would come in just to buy it off they are close enough. Plus all the extra tourism

At least the 2024 initiative upped it to 9 plants total from 6 total and 3 of those in flower.......No matter, I'll keep on keeping on...can't stop the signal
