sunday dose of vitamin E... ppp
I keep forgetting to post this!
After We got my friend's Double Grape in the freezer, I dissected the EB Jr when I got home. All the compost was broken down, quite a bit in the decomp and with the amount of compost added. What an amazing root structure! Every bit of media was bonded together with the fine root structure, including the top. With the wicking area being directly under the plant, the were massive......numerous and very thick! A substantial amount of roots in the rez too and in very nice condition. Very impressed. She used BigFoot wettable Mycos and I suspect this had an impact on the root structure.
One of the points I wanted to verify, was if I see any kind of root problems that may have contributed to the bud quality. I got out my scope to see if I could find any larva or active baddies. I found nothing but a lot of very fuzzy fine roots.
It busted up into a nice fine material. I placed it on top of one of my totes with material in it. I wetted it down with BigFoot and a dose of Recharge with a one oz dose of Howard Garrett's Garrett Juice as a topper, a blast from the past from my early organic endeavors. I mixed it all in. Those roots will be gone in a handful of days.
I can't wait for my first EB Jr grow! Gonna have to be a summer grow by the time I can get to it.
This just makes me more sure her issue in bud quality was due to the 24/0 light schedule, at least with Double Grape. She maintained her grow environment meticulously with proper light intensity. She met her DLI easily and was not overly high. Girl was still drinking over a gallon a day at chop. I just can't imagine people getting excited over this strain if this is normal. I'll see what they should look like in this next grow. The 2x4 will be on 18/6 for autos and seed making and the 4x4 will be photos.
I see the potential in this strain, ran on 18/6. Real easy to meet a good DLI on that schedule with the Mars SP3000 in that tent.
Good morfnoevight All! EO and the espresso was most excellent today.
I don't know I preach until I am blue in the face. View attachment 1437307If you want high quality bud you must give your plants a night time.
@Mossy Happy Mother's day!

Ribs, ribs, and more ribs.Ok all you Pit Masters of LS... I'm about to go pick up hubby's 40th bday present, a 30" charcoal grill/smoker (figure its a rite of passage as he's now officially a middle aged dad lol). He's had a charcoal 3 leg camp grill deal thing in the past so he knows how to use one, but his ex took everything when they split. Regardless... I'll be stopping at the grocery store on the way home (maybe even the fancy Wegmans) to get stuff for dinner and a cheesecake etc. WHAT DO I GET FOR THE GRILL'S MAIDEN VOYAGE?!? Its a rather momentous occasion after all and I don't know what would be worthy. Lend me your wisdom!

You really are limited to what will cook in time….ribs take 4-6 hours depending on the technique. Big cuts take 8-12….chicken is fairly quick (1-3 hours depending) steaks of course….Ok all you Pit Masters of LS...
