The only reason I sold my last Tacoma at ~450,000 kilometers was that the dearest was starting to get nervous on our long road trips. We used to get off the beaten path with our camper then, and do so with our trailer now, so breakdowns could be a problem. I am sure that the new owners went over a half million without anything other than routine maintenance. My current Tacoma is now at about 125,000K - in other words, just nicely broken in. I am pretty sure that I have now done ~1.5 million kilometers in my 4 Tacomas with zero non-routine repairs.
I'm just having a ball beating the tar out of my little Matrix hatchback. Bought it at 58k miles, And have put a little over 110k on it. Most of those miles are from me driving it like a racecar down the interstate when I was always going somewhere.
I'm thinking of picking up a Highlander, next, if I can find one that's got low enough mileage and isn't rusted to hell. I tend to cut corners too fast and sharp anymore, or I'd find something bigger than that lol
