You know me Mossy, I dig, delve and root out info, whenever and wherever I can.
It took a fair few years to lock it down and now it has become second nature.
Thanks for all the kind words and yes I am a TWAT
LMAO
However I am always happy to share what I do, just look at 912Greenskells mighty micro bud bombs. From the man who grew the mightiest plant's most had ever seen, to then ask me how to grow my "small but chunky auto's" was an honor. So I showed him how and he also got amazing result, I don't keep my method a secret.
The method is journalled here at AFN
https://www.autoflower.org/threads/...-x-vipar-b2x3-artys-dwarfing-technique.36318/
I think i mention it in most of my grows and I am happy to share.
Basic details
- For seedlings, give plenty of light to keep them short and the internodes tight.
- I use a mix of 75% coco and 25% seramis (perlite or growstones are also good)
- Seeds go in to root riot or Rootit horticultural sponges and the once roots are showing, they into the coco mix in 1 liter long/tall root pots.
- I feed Dutch Pro nutes, spray with seaweed spray and add clamag & hesi supervit to the feed.
- I now top at 5th internode (you don't have to do this, my earlier grows using this method were left alone).
- At sex (first pistils showing) transplant to final pot. no need to be gentle or carefull. The transplant at this stage, relies on "Transplant Shock". This is the time when"Stretch" occurs, the Transplant shocik make the plant, send all its energy into re-establishing the root system. This means the energy that would have gone into stretch, is now diverted to the roots. So now you get tight internodes ( as long as sufficient light is used - 25W-50W per sqr foot (50W is the upper end, you can use too much light).I always use LED but that is just a preference. Here is another thing i do to reduce "Stretch" I keep temp constant 24/7
- Using LST get those lateral branches going horizontal for better bud growth and to let the light into the lower bud sites.
- Watering nutes is by hand. I like to have a wet/dry cycle as this gets a good amount of air to the roots. I use DTW (Drain To Waste in coco) at around 30% run off.
- I generally run the lights 24/7 but I will be using 20/4 in the next run after what would be the stretch phaze, so I can get a better terp profile. Temperature and Stretching - the bigger the "Swing" in temps between lights on and lights off "The bigger the Stretch". Even temps 24/7 during stretching period equals shorter plants. Once Stretch phazes is over use whatever lights cycle you want and no worries if temperature is different during lights on/lights off.
- I defoliate often, to allow the light to the bud sites and to allow ample air circulation. the short internodal distance means it can get quite dense! I also take out the lower story as it will only produce larf, this also allows more air in.
I reckon that is most of it, I love to play, so this and that can happen, as and when I see something I want to alter/change.
Hopefully people will find this method that I have developed and shared with you and all at AFN useful, now lets see some bud bombs using "Arty's Dwarfing technique" and then pay it forward
, so other can "know how to" as well!!
I'm getting a lot of people asking on IG how I do it, so I send them to AFN, to view my journal.
We are a community and we all can grow together by sharing knowledge and the love of the AFN Vibe!!
Keep it hairy, keep it Harry and keep it AFN!
Much love
Arty
One last thing before I go...... because I am a "Flowery Twat" is watch this video and change the word "
Chiquitita" to "Chicken Tikka", you will never hear this song the same ever again! LMAO your welcome!
Singa new song Chicken Tikka!
BTW how creepy does that snowman look? A seriously dodgy uncle vibe emanates from it! lol
