Lighting Lets talk Fanny! ... seriously now, LED fan upgrades!

Went out and bought 21 NB X1's for 2.88€ piece!

I have no clue why I insist on thinking the Ms06 has 6 fans... I wonder why loool .... anyway, I really only needed 17, but the extra 4 will come in handy if

a) I buy another Ms06 :twist: (not in the works for now..)
b) I f*ck up chopping connectors.

I will get a lifetime of great fanny flapping if I manage to silence (or significantly reduce) my lights Vira!! :brow: :roflcry: :head:

Lol its all about the fanny flapping bro

Anyone in europe looking for a sweet deal, grad this one! This ebay dude is selling noctuas 80mm for half the price, except he only sells the fans, not the box and LN and ULNA cables, so there is a catch. Haven't tested my noctua vs noiseblocker still...

Still a bloody good deal. Mu X1's haven't arrived yet...

Any idea where I can get the cheapest 3-pin to 3-pin connectors 12V-->to 7,5V or to 9V?

What would you do Groff to 9 or to 7 V?

I dont know really. The X1 do 10dB like they are, so all I can do is report back on my findings. They are equivalent to the Noctua's with the LNA cable, so that would be the 9v

I'm swapping them soon, the store where I bought them had to collect from other branches to get me 21 units and are late to deliver

Hey finally took another look at this thread. Umm wow, wasn't expecting those replies! To clarify, I meant no disrespect up above when saying don't go below 50 cfm. For me it is an obvious trade-off between risk vs. reward, and I wouldn't think twice about spending 40 bucks for quality fans for a 400+ USD LED. Maybe I could save 20 bucks, but it's not worth it when I just shelled out a bunch of $. It may in fact be the case that the heat syncs are sufficient and you don't need the fans at all, but it's not something I feel comfortable testing, and I wouldn't touch it with a ten foot pole.

Anyway, 15 dB of the Effizio, if it is indeed as quiet as advertised, is as quiet as a whisper; run a ceiling fan in the same room and there's no chance you'd detect the LED in the closet!

water under the bridge flat9... wasnt my best day either.

Anyways... the assholes at the store wrote my number wrong and never called back because of the NB1's. Called in and they had sold most of the fans at that great price. Still had 12 in stock, but had to get them from the supplier. Promised a call within a few days. Its been two weeks... :cuss:

That sucks man I hope you can get what you've been looking for...
