Indoor Let's talk compost.

So I added my Compost to my new plantings. Doing kind of an experiment. Nothing but water for all 4 for the first month. If compost ones thrive then it's legit

As the title says let's talk compost!

Does anyone cultivate their own compost / vermiculture to use in their mixes?

I have horses and have an endless supply of horse shit, hay, straw, etc. I also raise red worms and am getting some nice castings. I hot compost the manure and this is what it looks like after 3 weeks. Nice, earthy, crumbly. I'm now going to let it cure for a few more months before I put it in any soil. Continue to turn it and break down any remaining thick chunks.

Want to use horseshit next year outdoors since its free and available. nice shitload of shit!

I'm going to order a few thousand extra worms to throw into that 35 gallon garbage can of finished compost. So in theory the worms will break it down even more and amend it with their castings. So will this be super double compost? If this works I'll be so happy!

Worms love liquid manur of stinging nettles. easy to make and works as fertilizer in veg stage 2

Dude thanks! I will definitely look into that for the piles the worms aren't in.

I don't think you need to worry about combining worms and microbes, but mb to be on the safe side...
