Mephisto Genetics Let's ride the Fantasmo Express!

I have 2 Fantismos coming down on Tues but when I got the beans I noticed how extremely small they were. I used my germination technique that never fails me. I went from soaking in water for 24 hrs then to moist paper towels on my germination mat-nothing. Then back to water for 48 hrs and then to the moist paper towels for 48 hrs before they finally cracked. I never give up on a bean. They grew but slowly and didn't achieve their advertised size but the buds are very frosty and good size and excellent smell. I once received some small beans from Dutch Passion and they also acted the same way. Pipes
Thanks for sharing!

I'm glad to see other folks had hard time with these I have now ordered 4 of these 2 no go,one popped but that's all then last one came up that's it now almost all my others have been 100% I'm not going to try her again for awhile if ever plenty others to choose from.
I don't mean I was happy for your bad luck happy to find out I'm not losing it.lol
You know, I think it's simply just the genetics, and some scarification before the soak would greatly speed up the time to get them to open up, so far I've heard of hard times germing the fantasmo beans from 6 individuals, so I know it's fire in the beans, they are just a stubborn strain.

I grew these out as one of my first Mephisto runs. It was amazing the orangey notes in both the taste and smell are unforgettable. It's still one of my faves!!! Good luck I'm sure your going to love it !!! :pass:

Thank you, I'm very excited about this one!

Day 10

Got her first full feeding with the house and garden line a few days ago and took it well, humidity is surprisingly higher than normal lately and it's helping in veg. Starting out looking Indica dominant as the strain info describes, now we're just waiting for the first explosion of growth, which in the past has usually been around day 14-17.

Day 15

She's already displaying more growth by the hour, and showing a possible early mutation in the first set of leaves, looks all elephant ear crinkled lol, the first true set came out with 6 on one side, 7 on the other, I'm used to only seeing 5 on this set, so that's different, and exciting at the same time. Secondary branches are coming out longer than I'm used to seeing this early, so it's getting me excited to see how far they'll shoot out, judging by what I see so far, the scrog will work perfect this round. She's taking the nutes like a champ, the leaf spots you see in the pictures are from getting feed water on them, she's in perfect health.

I just went thru something interesting I had hell of a time getting 2 c99 seeds to germ been trying for 9 days found were they said sativas can have harder shells need to be in warmer places then most to pop and to put in light and to lightly buffer outside of shell with emrea board did what they said in 12 hours they were poped I planted there up so I'm going to try this I have a couple of the fantasmo seeds coming I'm going to try one since it's mostly sativa I agree I think it's gentics I'm going to give it a shot I want to try this bad.
