Indoor Leaves yellowing at margins. Tips dying. LOS organics

I checked my notes, because I had lost track.. I have four other plants in this mix of soil. One was a male, actually, and was culled the other day. But that and one other, which are/were photoperiod plants are/were doing quite well, and they are/were both outdoor plants.

The other two using my mix are in my tent. One is a purple kush auto which is mid flower and doing pretty well, the fourth is an amnesia auto which displayed some funkyness after transplant, which looks like overwatering.

The PK got some compost added to it, and the amnesia and the two photoperiod plants got 100% my mix.

So this doesn't really help in the case of the Diesel, except to show that this mix can work.

Today, Diesel looks a little better. There is some progression of symptoms, but they don't appear to have accelerated, at least. I'm going to work on keeping her pot moist, for her and the microbiology's health.

I think you'll find photos much more forgiving overall...
Given the quick stages of growth, autos really require your A game more than photos.

I used to drag race a bit, so I'll use that as a parable.

Photos are more Wednesday night, run what you drive out. There's some REALLY fast cars out there, but at 120, bumps down the strip only mean so much.

Autos are top fuel. Its gonna be a 4 second run and little bumps can really move you around the track at 325. Focus, and don't smack a wall.

So, it might just be a little of that photo forgiveness your experiencing.

Yeah, that makes all the sense! I appreciate you taking the time to help me on this.

Today I took the unused remainder of my first soil mix, with the 7.2 pH, and mixed in about 1cu ft of Canadian sphagnum peat moss (after pre-wetting it), some alfalfa and kelp meals, azomite (I felt my rock dust add was a little light to begin with), and some more perlite. I threw in a few handfuls of Compost and mixed it all up.
I'm going to give it a couple of weeks and then test it.

Diesel is looking better this morning. Better all the time, actually. I suspect the watering made the biggest change, as I think it's still too soon to be seeing an effect from the top dressings. Also, the temperature has been lower and humidity higher, and she's enjoying the reduced VPD.

I also did some defoliation yesterday. I removed a lot of the leaves that were damaged by aphids, or had their droppings on them, and those blocking lower bid sites. She has a lot of leaves.

I wonder what is attributable to possible underwatering/dry spots in her pot, and what is attributable to a VPD that's better for this plant. I may never know, but I sure am glad she's more back on track.

:toke: lagging here, pardon!

.... looks like you have it sorted JS,... I'd say it's K defc., since pH and heavy inputs are out,... ironically though K toxicity manifests much the same, tip and margin 'teeth" burning....
... Fuxfarms soil is garbage, never again! Roots Organics is commonly available, and much better....
... in-pot pH is high, as noted,... Citric acid is a gentle pH lowering product, like what's used in canning is fine.... get a pH probe mate, when you can,... the Accurate 8 is a good basic unit, or the identical unit under a different brand name....
--- EC likely isn't a factor, other nute burn symptoms, newest growth in particular would have shown it (too hot)....

The pine mulch appears to be a decent mix of pine fines with larger pieces. I buy it at Lowes for about 3.00, the brand is Timberline.
I think that mulch is perfect in the case of this soil I have with a high pH. In any case, something I did made my plant much happier.

Thanks for the input and ideas, @Waira - those charts in particular are helpful.
I do feel like I have this well sorted now. I sure didn't like when it was going on, but the experience is valuable.

I'm definitely going to pick up a good soil prove when I have the chance. I think it's the next tool on my want list.

I'm definitely not going to buy FF Soils anymore. It seems that it's possible that all the the problems I have seen could be attributable to those soils.

:pass: dude, i had a butt clencher week or so with my girls this year--shit happens! You saw how nice and neon green they were,.. then they started to pale out fast, P defc. cropping up,..:cuss:... not sure WTF happened, but clearly feeds were not enough, reserves in fans low coz they ate some up like bar snacks! Got it sorted, thinking maybe my TDS is wack, i swore i was OK on input ppms,... Either way, I'm done with megacrop,....

Jc, have you checked out the Defc. Pic Depot here? ..in the colored section above this one,...
